Statistics show that as many as 48% of adults snore at least sometimes. Snoring can be triggered by a variety of things, including allergies, sleeping position, excess weight, and illness. But regardless of the reason, if your partner snores at night, the sound may rouse you or prevent you from reaching a deep level of sleep.

In some cases, snoring can be a symptom of sleep apnea, which is a condition marked by periods of shallow breathing or pauses in breathing during sleep. In some cases, pauses in breathing can last for a few seconds, which deprives the brain of oxygen and prevents quality sleep.
