Easy Ribs For Dinner

Easy Ribs For Dinner

As a parent, we are expected to provide meals for our family every single day.  Finding meals that the whole family love is a huge bonus.  Finding meals that taste great and are quick and easy is an added bonus.

I suddenly get little brainwaves when preparing or eating dinner about sharing with you.  For me providing meals can be a chore, as you can not please everyone. So if we share meal ideas we can help each other out. I will apologise now that I do not measure things, but you should have an idea of measurements you usually use.

Today I decided on one of the quickest and easiest meals to make, it takes minutes to prepare and then just does its thing cooking slowly in the oven and is great to eat at anytime of the year.

My 4 ingredient (well 5 including the ribs) sticky bbq ribs.

Ingredients

Pork Ribs

Jar of Hoisin Sauce

Tomato Ketchup

Runny Honey

Chilli Flakes (optional)

Step 1 –

In a bowl pour the hoisin sauce, a big dollop of ketchup, honey and the chilli flakes if using and mix together.

Step 2 –

Put a couple of tablespoons of marinade to one side for later use

Step 3 –

Add the pork ribs and coat – leave to marinade or if in a hurry can be used straight away

Step 4 –

Line an oven proof dish with tin foil that overlaps on all sides

Place the ribs and cover with more tin foil

fold over the edges of the top and bottom foil to create a tight seal and place in the oven on a low heat for 2-3 hours

Step 5 –

Remove from the oven and carefully take the top layer of foil off and brush the ribs with the spare marinade from step 2

Turn the oven up and cook for about 30 minutes until sticky and cooked
