Diary Of A Menopausal Mum – 29/10/2021

Friday is not only where we look forward to the weekend, it is also time for my weekly round up post Diary of a Menopausal Mum post, where I share the goings on in the StressedMum house, and anything that has been annoying me this week.

Education

education

You may know this already know this if you Life After Lockdown post,  after over two years of fighting we had an email on Monday evening telling us C was on the course, her timetable and start date.  What a great way to start the week.  I am now worrying what she needs to have with her so will be trying to think of what she will need, if anyone has any ideas please let me know.  She is prepared with an over 16 zip card which should give her free bus travel.  Plus I have got her lanyard with a card on explaining her illness which she can pop on if she needs too.

Coughs and Colds

colds

We still have this cough and cold lurking around, my husband seems to be over it now.  I have the end of it lingering and poor C has been really ill, but says she feels a little better so hopefully getting over it now.  She has been living of my homemade chicken soup, which means she is at least getting some nutrients in her. Have you been suffering or have you been lucky and managed to avoid it?

Christmas

christmas

Although I still have birthdays coming up, I have been working on my Christmas guides and from Monday I have a week of guides going live

I hopefully have covered every member of the family, and you will find some great gift ideas.

I have also been looking at Christmas Cards, Com Bossa Studio have a lovely range of cards which will be a pleasure to receive.

What I Have Been Loving This Week

happi

We are a family that loves chocolate, probably a little too much.  Happi is a range of healthier top quality chocolate that all the family can enjoy.  I was sent a range of their chocolate to try, and without letting my family know what it was, I shared it out and everyone loved it.  I would definitely recommend trying them.

How has your week been?

My daughter is year 11 and has put on her college applications. Our closest colleges don’t accept oyster zip as out of the zone, so I’m already thinking about things like this too.

It is a nightmare isnt it, because C has an illness it has all been delayed through the education sytem, and she is turning 18 next weekend. I have told her to have her debit card with her as well just in case

Awww that is the best news and a long time coming! All the best to C for starting her new course! 🙂
I’ve so far managed to stave off any colds for some time, I have no secret, though I do think Keto helps… that and a life long addiction to black pudding! 😉 Hope C can shake hers off fully soon, homemade chicken soup rocks! Sim x

It has been a long battle, but we got there in the end. Glad you have managed to steer clear of the colds, C is getting over hers now thankfully. I can not stand black pudding but maybe that is the key to keep them at bay

I can not believe Christmas is just weeks away, hoping my guides give inspiration. The chocolate is just like ordinary chocolate but better for you

One week to go and she is really looking forward to it, although a little apprhensive which is understandable. We are all getting over it now thankfully x
