The Diary Of A Menopausal Mum

Diary Of A Menopausal Mum – 03/09/2021

We have made it through to Friday again, and life has got back into the routine of school runs as schools are now back after the Summer holidays.  Although we have not had much of a Summer really.  This is where I share my week with you, and you can share any rants with me.

Education

education

You will all be aware of the ongoing saga with C’s education, or lack of education really. I have been very aware that schools are back this week, and we still have no idea of what is going on.

On Tuesday, I emailed C’s support saying it is not helping her anxiety with still not knowing what is going on.  She came back saying the person dealing with applications was away until Tuesday.  So, I emailed him on Tuesday as well, and had a reply Tuesday evening.  As there was a mix up with GCSE’s as they thought C had them, which we all know she does not.  He was passing her details to a Tutor to make an appointment for assessment to the course which should start on 28th.  So fingers crossed we might finally be getting somewhere.

Menopause

You will remember last week I spoke about my problems and my scan etc. I had a text on Wednesday, one week after my face to face appointment, saying my hospital referral had been sent that day.  So no idea how long I will have to wait for an actual appointment.

C is seeing her Consultant for her jaw today, which we are seeing privately, as our GP was a nightmare.  I am going to speak to them to see if I can book a private Consultant, as my symptoms are getting worse to the point walking and sitting is agony.

Christmas

I am so excited for my gift guides this year, I have some lovely items coming through.  I have started writing my guides up including a new eco-friendly gift guide.

Noise

noise

The noise in our house has been a nightmare this week, we have had our old conservatory taken down and a new one being installed.  Poor C is struggling bless her, hopefully today is the last day of all the loud noise of banging and drilling.

Lazy Mum Day

lazy mum day

Did you know 3rd September is Lazy Mum Day, I found out the other day.  So as C has a late appointment I am having a takeaway tonight and not cooking.

How has your week been?

Ah I hope you get everything sorted with C’s education, I have similar happening with my eldest with college and it’s frustrating not knowing what is going on isn’t it?

Not sure how they could mix up think C had done the GCSE’s if it said in writing she hadn’t. So many careless and lazy people in jobs that they clearly can’t manage which is not helpful.

I know, luckily I don’t let things drop and I keep pestering until they realise and rectify things.
