Reptiles and amphibians carry campylobacter and/or salmonella in their faeces and for amphibians it will also be in their water which can be very infectious to humans. If the animal is handled or the water or cage/aquarium cleaned out the hands must be really cleaned thoroughly everytime!!

So cute. I have always been fascinated with reptiles. Personally I don’t think I would ever get one as a pet as my house is far too small meaning I can’t give it the spacious environment it needs for it to be a home. Also I’m a bit funny with insects so I don’t think I can feed them myself and will have to rely on my husband
