Everyone knows that exercise is important and a fundamental pillar for leading a healthy life. Sure, you probably won’t need to be told that, or advised about it. After all, it’s rare that people neglect exercise because they disagree that it could be beneficial. Perhaps they have joint issues, aren’t sure where to start, don’t want to do it alone. Maybe they’re just incredibly busy.
As the winter approaches, we begin to see the time where most people who aren’t that keen on exercising will outright refuse to do so. Because obviously it’s very cold and miserable out side due to the weather conditions. If you aren’t going for long walks at the height of the spring or summer. You probably won’t do it in the middle of a blizzard. That said – it’s worth considering if our approach to exercise isn’t a little outdated. It’s very possible that it could be. It’s not about what exercise can do to you. How you can use it to help you live the life you really do want. Exercise provides much more than you think. Let’s consider that below:
Exercise Is A Great Deal Of Fun & Very Social
When we think of exercising, it’s easy to think of heading on an arduous run that feels tiring and you wish it would be over just as soon as your session starts. But the truth is that depending on your capability, you may have plenty of options as to what exercise can be for you. Swimming in the mornings at the local health club, going on hikes or walks with a friend, playing a gentle sport that helps you stretch and get out there, and certainly joining a fun class such as learning to do yoga or dancing can help. Here’s the secret – you’re allowed to have fun when exercising. In fact, do that, and exercise just feels like activity, not a solemn task you have to undertake.
Exercise Helps With More Health Metrics Than You Think
Exercise is known to help us lose weight and feel more in-shape, but that ‘in-shape’ feeling is comprised of so many benefits it’s hard to list them all. Not only does your muscle density improve, but your joint flexibility grows, your core, functional strength increases, your mental health is supported, and it even improves your eye health. This is not a false promise given by any random self-help book, but a real, tangible and noticeable effect. So don’t be afraid to getting into exercise to help you live with more clarity and a supported sense of wellbeing. What else might you do it for?
You Don’t Have To Be Perfect
It’s easy to read advice online and think you need to be a devout adherent to feeling out of breath in order to move forward and gain results. But that’s not true. If you wake up and you’re exhausted, it’s good to go to that dance class still, but you don’t have to beat yourself up if you skip a session from time to time to recuperate your strength. You never have to be perfect, so don’t try to be. Just attempt to be consistent. That’s enough. You’ll notice results. And by that act, you will slowly become much more adept at exercising than you ever were.
With this advice, we hope you can see why exercise provides much more than you think.

I always make sure I walk a lot and keep active around the house. Even doing chores can be good exercise. Now with Nintendo Wii, it is not hard to keep fit and have fun at the same time.
We used to have a wii and loved it not sure if we still have it
I walk a lot a day and I have a physical job and since I have been doing this job rather than my desk job that I did for 20 years, I feel so much better mentally and physically.
