One of my favourite childhood games was Swingball, I remember where I was when I got mine. I spent hours playing either on my own (the joys of being an only child), with my friends or my parents. Read on to find out more about my Swingball Giveaway.
When my kids were younger I remember getting excited when we got them a swingball. Sharing all the memories of my childhood, of the hours I spent playing with mine.
Having three children I never once thought of the arguments it could also present, with they are cheating, it is my turn. After refereeing they played nicely and me and my husband would join in as we had teams, and cheer as we won.
It is lovely to see that Swingball is still such a popular game 40 years on from when I first played mine.
It has been updated in design, instead of fixing it in the ground you now have a base which you fill with water
Plus the base also doubles into a storage case to keep everying together when not in use
This means that you can also pack up and take it on days out for picnics, at the beach or on holiday and not just for playing with at home.

Always loved Swingball as a kid (although we never had the ‘official’ Swingball branded version). My kids would love this.

I think my favourite has to be a pair of stilts that my dad made me. They were made from 2×2 wooden baton, with a wooden peg to stand on, and the baton was long enough that I could hold on to the top and then wobble my way around the avenue. I got good enough to run around on them and all the other kids badgered their dads to make them a pair too.
We used to plat so many games, fashion wheel was one of my favourites

My favourite toy from childhood was my skateboard, every kid on the street had one, although non of us could skate. Instead we took them to the top of the hill, sat down and raced to the bottom. Much to my mums annoyance, we used to wear a wedge out of our heals when we stopped at the bottom.

Has to be my Furby! I know a lot of people find them really annoying, but I absolutely loved the Christmas themed one my parents bought me! I took it everywhere!
My daughter had one and I found it the most annoying thing going, funnily enough we found it recently and thinking of giving it to my granddaughter
It was my Sindy doll and I used to build houses for them from bits of old junk

Favourite toy was probably my Tiny Tears doll, still have her but she looks different now (she went through a punk theme during the 80s and now the marker pen marks are permanent )
The Big Yellow Teapot. My sister and I used to bring snails in from the garden to live in it. I don’t think our parents were impressed!
The Hoola Hoop was my favourite toy growing up and the competitions we used to have seeing who could keep the hoop going the longest.
I used to love my trike. It had a bucket on the back and a little horn and I would peddle around on it. I didn’t realise my Mum and Dad had kept it, but it has now been passed down to my Nephew.
