Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 22/01/2025

I am so out with the days this week and luckily realised it was Wednesday this morning. Today is my parents 59th wedding anniversary. Luckily put their cards out before leaving to take C to college. Plus it is time for my weekly Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 22/01/2025.

C is struggling at the moment, with her heart racing and now shortness of breath etc. She was off college yesterday and I rang to get her a Dr appointment. The only time they had was in the morning which we could not do as I had my hospital appointment. Apparently no other Dr could see her as the one C has been seeing is not in until Monday. College have been great and are supporting her.

I finally had my neurology appointment yesterday. After being asked lots of questions and being examined and having to do various movements etc. The Dr said she could see something is not right, even pointing out a couple of things I had not realised. I now have to wait for an MRI appointment to come through to see what is going on.

New For 2025

Happy New Year 2025

Last week I shared a few new ideas I want to incorporate on the blog this year.

I am still looking for a new theme for my blog. I have looked at a few but not really looked properly. That is a work in progress at the moment.

After the success with my family with the traditional bolognaise recipe. I tried another new recipe last week for traditional chilli. C does not eat chilli so along with my husband my parents tried it with us. Everyone loved it and I will be sharing the recipe soon.

That is 2 out of 2 so far. Next recipe I am thinking a slow cooker one and have a couple in mind so watch this space.

I am sorry this is so short this week, with being away for the weekend and getting home on Monday. Then C being ill and my hospital appointment. I have not had chance to really do much apart from catching up with emails etc.

I hope you have all had a great week

  1. Finding a new theme for the website is so stressful. I have gone through it a while back, and it took me a lot of energy. Good luck in your findings!

    1. I now have an appointment for 3 separate MRI scans, had C at the Dr again this morning who is contacting Cardiology to see if there is anything they suggest while we wait for her appointment in June

  2. I struggle so much deciding on themes, as there is just so many to choose from, it feels endless and like if I stop looking, what if there is another, better one?! I hope you have fun changing up your website.

  3. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that you get your MRI appointment soon so you can get some answers. I’m just like C and don’t like chili, although I wish I did x

    1. Thank you, hopefully I will not have to wait too long for the appointment and I can find out what is going on. C has never liked it which is a shame

  4. Hope the MRI appointment comes through soon. I don’t like the machines, but I find if I keep my eyes closed and then think about happy/funny experiences I have had, it’s not too bad. Hope C Gets some answers as well

    1. I am really not looking forward to having the MRI, C has had 3 and keeps saying you will be fine. I am worried about C luckily she is finishing at lunchtime today as her tutor has authorised her to leave early and then rest up until Monday when we see her Dr

  5. Motherhood is so freaking hard. Then I saw someone on social media write, ‘Motherhood is only hard when you’re a good parent,’ and it totally changed my perspective.

  6. I’m so glad to hear you’re making some progress with your healthy. I have an appointment in a few weeks with a neuropsychologist to try to figure out why I’m having some issues, and I know it’s a scary wait.

    1. Although never nice I was glad that she could see what I was having problems, I am really not looking forward to the MRI though. I hope your appointment goes well

  7. I’m sorry to hear C is having so much trouble, but I AM glad to hear that you’re finally getting somewhere with your own issues.

    1. I am worried about C, but hopefully our GP can help her while we wait until June for her appointment. It was nice that she understood and could see the problems I am having

  8. I hope the Dr. will be able to identify what the issue is with MRI…This is a good progress….Feel Better C…

  9. I live in hope that the NHS will, at some point in the near future, be able to look after your family and all others. In the meantime, all the best while you wait for the next round of appointments and tests.
