Life In A Lockdown – Week 2 (Linky)

Last week I took part in a new linky called Life in a lockdown, where myself and other Bloggers answer questions about our life during the lockdown, you can find my post from last week here. So how has this week been?

1) How are you feeling/coping?

I am coping ok on the whole, but am feeling very down this week.  It is my birthday on Thursday and before all this happened we had plans for a day out and my husband treating me and having a meal out.  We spoke about it last week and he asked if I wanted something else or to wait, I chose to wait and postpone it.  But it does not stop me feeling down and like just forgetting my birthday this year.

2) What are you doing to keep yourself occupied?

Apart from the normal housework, I am having a weekly trip to the supermarket.  Normally this is something I hate and dread doing but it is my only time out of the house.  Plus I am in a lucky position to be getting a lot of giveaways to offer my audience so feel I am giving something to others and I love sending out the congratulation emails.

3) How are you dealing with everything at the moment – are you self-isolated, going out for essentials etc? Has this changed?

We are self isolating, with me going out shopping once a week, although I spend everyday trying to get an online delivery.  My Daughter has an illness and it will be really bad if we get the virus in the house, so isolation is the only thing we can do.  I will admit to being fed up and bored of it all now.

4) What advice do you have for others?

No matter how much you think you are ok as you have been self isolating and your friends think the same.  Be sensible stay at home, socialise virtually with group chats etc

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.

I hae gone over the top since this started with anti bac sprays, wipes etc, but when in Lidls the other day they had a virus protector spray.  This apparently kills the corona virus so picked that up as well.

Plus was chatting with my Daughter in law on Sunday who was saying my granddaughter is running out of clothes and she needs this to be over to go and buy her more.  Next thing she knows she is getting emails with order details, it is what Nannys do

6) How has your routine been this week? (Question by Don’t Cramp My Style)

I would love to say yes, but everything has been pretty much the same

7) Have you planned anything for once lockdown is over in the past 7 days?? (Question by Don’t Cramp My Style)

Apart from postponing going out for my birthday, and the various meeting up with friends and family nothing.  Apart from going to see my granddaughter as soon as we can once this is over.

How has your week been, has it been the same as last week, or pretty much the same?

I must admit I feel a bit fed up too. We’re trying hard to do different things, but the BH weekend was not like usual so it made us both a bit sad. We were quite glad to escape for a walk on Sunday. We live quite rurally, so we rarely see people when we go out, so that’s a small blessing. Hopefully this will be over soon.

I think a lot of people are starting to feel fed up now, I think the mix of the bank holiday and my birthday are just pushing me a bit further into what we are missing out on. But on the other hand need to carry on like this to stay safe x

We have had a really productive but relaxing week this week. The weather has been so lovely and we have made the most of the garden. It’s also been nice to have some time off from the school work my daughter is being set and I have had a few days off from working from home.

Great post its always interesting reading how others are getting on in the situation too!

I am struggling this week. Its our 4th week self isolating and staying home and cabin fever has well and truly sunk in. We do go out for a daily walk but we live in quite a built up area so unless we were to walk through the town centre (which we are avoiding at all costs) we only really have two routes to walk and we are all getting fed up with those routes now lol!

I keep trying to tell myself to try and enjoy this family time right now even if the situation isn’t ideal. Because when we all start going back to normality it wont be long before we all start moaning about how busy we are and how much we miss family time!

Hope your all ok too! xx

I think everyone is feeling cabin fever, I think it is not so much the staying in it is that it is forced on us x

For me the weekly trip to supermarket is the only time I really go outside. Sounds stupid but i actually now enjoy a trip to the supermarket

Life in lockdown is not easy at all, I am sure once this is all over you will have one of the best birthday parties ever. Do stay safe and try to buy in bulk to reduce your weekly shopping

Its been a challening coup,e of weeks, I’m still at work selling the essentials, but the rest of the family are still at home, these questions are a great way for others to share briefly whats happening inn there lives during this tough time.

I really feel for those who have birthdays coming up. It is isaac’s next week and we were supposed to be in Liverpool this weekend for Pokemon Go event and then to Go Ape on his actual birthday

It’s been a change of pace here for us. Something we have had to adjust to. We love our daily walks at the moment!

No big change in the last week for us really. My son had spring break from school this week so things have been very relaxed. I am basically only going out about one every 7-10 days for essentials only.

I agree about the weekly supermarket shop. Mine has gone from being dreaded to being appreciated! It’s the only time i get to leave the house apart from walking the dogs!

I’m struggling with the lockdown this week. I’m used to being confined to home due to my health, but having the hubster and kids here is just getting to be a little overwhelming. Feel like I don’t get a minute :/

I think everyone is struggling more this week, like you we are used to be confined due to health reasons but it is also the rest of the family being there
