Life In A Lockdown Linky – Week 61

Life In A Lockdown Linky - Week 61

Tuesday is Life In A Lockdown Linky, where each week all through lockdown I have been taking part in a lockdown linky.  Each week we answer set questions on how our week has been.  I am a little late this week, but just got in as had a lovely day getting my Nanny cuddles.

If you want to take part in the linky the questions are

1) How are you feeling/coping?
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
3) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
4) Do you have any plans for lockdown easing?
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? (Especially if from a small business.)
6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
7) What would you like the future to know about life during a pandemic?
8) Anything else you would like to mention?

1) How are you feeling/coping?

Last week, I was moaning (as usual) about our GP being a nightmare with C’s medication.  We finally received the consultants letter and now have a prescription for the correct dosage so no more cutting tiny pills in half.

On Friday afternoon I received a call from our GP offering C her Covid vaccination, I was worried but also wanted her protected.  I went on a parents group for children with ME and asked about how other children had felt after the vaccine and spoke to C who agreed to have it.  She is 17 and although not quite an adult, she should be able to make decisions for herself.  She agreed to have it and booked for Saturday.  Apart from her arm hurting, which she is still moaning about, and her head hurting a bit more she has been fine.

I am feeling fine now after my vaccine last week, I am now looking forward to a road trip starting on Saturday for a week travelling around the Lake District.  Our friend wants to do a cycle ride and is doing so many miles away, we are going to keep his wife company during the day.  Plus we have said for years we would love to visit. I am taking my laptop and hopefully doing a diary of our trip.

2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?

I seem to have been quite busy, Saturday we had a quietish day as C had her vaccine.  Sunday evening my husband suggested popping out for a drink.  It was so lovely to go out and do something normal.

Monday, was gorgeous and we went out for a walk along the River Thames at Shepperton and watched the boats in the lock.  Then had a stop for coffee and cake before heading home.

Today, myself, C and my Mum picked my Mother in Law up and had a lovely day in the garden with my two granddaughters. The baby is nearly 7 months and such a sweetheart.  As the elder one is now in nursery, and weekends are usually manic, we can only see them in the school holidays.  Plus at some stage during the summer holidays, I am having both of them to stay.

I have also been trying to work out what to actually take with us when we go away, so far I have summer clothes and winter clothes as it is so hard to predict at the moment so going prepared for all weathers.

3) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?

I think it is my latest giveaway, I chose the pictures in the locket as they are two of my favourites.  I chose the wording as C is my world. I have decided to give this to my Mum as an extra birthday present.

4) Do you have any plans for lockdown easing?

I have already mentioned our trip away next week, plus arranged a day out to Chessington World of Adventures with our daughter in law and grandkids (we get free residents tickets).  Plus, discussing a night out to the theatre as Moulin Rouge is coming to the London stage.  I love this film and one of the songs was played during our wedding service.

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? (Especially if from a small business.)

Presents for the grandkids, as I can not turn up without taking them something.

7) What would you like the future to know about life during a pandemic?

Never take life for granted, be grateful for the little things

8) Anything else you would like to mention?

Keep on going, take one day at a time and we will get through this

Thank you to
