Day 8 of Blogtober and the prompt is create a guide to Home-made Halloween costumes. I am sharing a few ideas for easy home-made Halloween costumes for kids.

Table of Contents
Mummy

- Wrap your child in strips of torn white bed sheets or gauze.
- Leave gaps for the eyes and mouth.
- Add some dirt or coffee stains for a more authentic look.
Ghost

- Use an old white sheet or pillowcase.
- Cut out holes for the eyes and mouth.
- Drape it over your child and secure it with a belt or string.
Black Cat

- Dress your child in all black clothing.
- Make cat ears by cutting them out of black felt and attaching them to a headband.
- Draw whiskers and a nose with black face paint.
Witch or Wizard

- Dress your child in dark clothing.
- Create a cape using a large piece of black fabric.
- Make a witchās hat using black cardboard or felt.
Bat

- Use black clothing as a base.
- Create wings by attaching black fabric or garbage bags to the arms.
- Make ears out of cardboard and attach them to a headband.
Even more fun if you involve your child in the costume-making process as much as possible to make it a fun and creative family activity. Homemade costumes can be not only cost-effective but also a memorable part of Halloween for both you and your child.

Absolutely love the bat costume, what a great idea. We used to go out in a bin bag and a witches hat when we were kids haha.
I used to do witches for my daughter as it was easier
Can’t believe it is that time of year again. I always think it is great to make your own halloween costume. Definitely more memorable. I made my son a pirate costume last year by cutting into my husband’s old black t-shirt. Only problem is that he didn’t think it was old
Oh dear, am sure he forgave you when he saw his son as a pirate
What fab ideas!
I miss my girls dressing up for Halloween. They always liked to be witches. hehehe x
I miss those days as well
The white sheet ghosts look very effective and cost friendly!
They do look great little costumes
simple yet so effective – so creative too for kids
The kids will also love helping make their costumes
