Benefits Of Regular Exercise And Staying Active

Today is day 24 in the Blogtober 2023 challenge. The topic today is the benefits of regular exercise and staying active. I am very much the person who will do anything to do any exercise. There is a joke in my family that before I was pregnant with C, we had joined a gym. I gave it up when pregnant and still yet to rejoin, she is 20 next month.

How Do I Keep Active

Although we lost Max a few months ago, we do still have Bear, who loves his walks. This is my time to reflect on things that are worrying me and playing on my mind. We are lucky to have fields and woods in walking distance. I can either listen to music, or just get lost in my thoughts.

I can end up walking miles, this is a great way to look at your physical and mental health in one go. As you have no distractions. It is just you, the dog, nature and your thoughts. It really does help me clear my head and get on being productive during the day.

Running Around

My family laugh at me, when I say I am busy, or am always running up and down the stairs. Firstly, I will say I do not run. But, there always seems to be someone wanting me to do something. C, struggles with her ME and Fibromyalgia. When not in college, she rests up, at times in a lot of pain. So, yes I do a lot more running around after her than I would normally.

My husband works from home, but he has knackered knees. He desperately needs replacements but too young. So I tend to do a lot more running about for him as well. Then there is my parents, my Mum does not get that I am working, and seems to think I can drop things and sort whatever drama she has.

With, this in mind, I am forever on the go.

We have been talking about starting yoga, as this is both good for your physical and mental health and well-being. I am currently trying to find a beginners class near me.
