Utama Spice Sustainable Living Products Review

Both myself and my daughter have a love of beauty products. Especially those that are natural with no chemicals in them. I was recently contacted my Utama Spice, asking if I would like to review some of their products, how could I refuse. My Utama Spice Sustainable Living Products Review is show casing just a few of their lovely range of products.

Who Are Utama Spice

Utama Spice is a 100% natural skin care company based in Ubud, Bali. They focus on applying traditional herbal knowledge to create products that not only enhance your skin’s natural beauty but also inspire you with the raw power of nature.

The Review

I chose a range of products that I use in my daily life, so I could give an honest review.

Pure Energy Body Butter

Cocoa Love Lotion

The coconut oil base hydrates the skin while providing antioxidant and anti-ageing benefits that rejuvenate skin cells and protect against damage. Tangerine essential oil has antimicrobial properties that kill germs, and antioxidants that stimulate the generation of fresh, new cells. Tangerine also brightens dull skin and uplifts the senses.

All Natural Shampoo #6

With the all-natural ingredient power of Shampoo #6, hair is revitalised and restored. With a coconut oil base, hydration is locked into the scalp to prevent dandruff. Each hair follicle gets an added level of moisture and protection against damage from heat and chemical styling products. Castor oil removes build-up to get hair squeaky-clean, while essential oils like rosemary and Cananga work to make hair shiny and more manageable. The addition of patchouli oil stimulates hair growth. Gentle enough to use in oily hair. (Caution: not recommended for permed or coloured hair – this will try to remove the chemicals from the hair)

• All natural shampoo made with coconut oil
• Cocoa butter and caster oil to clean and moisturise
• Essential oils to add shine

Hydrating Conditioner

A natural conditioner to help moisturise dry or damaged hair.

A good conditioner can help smooth your hair and make it appear healthy and shiny again. You will find fewer split ends and hair that is much easier to style. Shampoo opens the hair’s cuticles and your natural conditioner is what seals those cuticles back up to lock in the hair’s natural nutrients while kicking pollutants out.

This is a conditioner that may be on the thicker side and steps out of natural conventions when thinking of a typical conditioner. It is thicker and may go on a bit oily, but the results speak for themselves once it is rinsed off and your hair is dried

My Opinion

I chose the above items to give a range of their products that I do use on a daily basis a good try. Plus C always loves trying new beauty products

• Pure Energy Body Butter – I do love body butters and always used them to moisturise after a shower. This one is light and easy to apply. Leaves skin moisturised and smells amazing
• Cocoa Love Lotion – This is a lighter cream and great for applying during the day for a lighter lotion. Also anything with vanilla has me sold
• Zinc Natural Sun Screen – I always use a moisturiser for my face with an SP factor throughout the year. As we have a hot day today, and I was going out I chose to use this instead of my normal face cream. It was light and easy to apply. Plus with a factor 50 I felt happier that my face was being protected.
• Tangerine Liquid Soap – I used this as a shower gel, I love a shower in the morning and evening. I am also fussy with my shower gels. I do love a creamy moisturising shower gel so this was different for me. As it is fruity and as it promises to energise you. I used this for my morning shower. It is fairly runny (as I said I usually used creamy moisturising shower gels). However as it is pump action it is easy to not let it run out of your hands. I left the shower feeling fresh and clean and I do love the tangerine fragrance.
• All Natural Shampoo – This again was quite runny, and I did have to use it twice to wash my hair. After the first application I felt it needed re-applying. So gave my hair a second wash and it was squeaky clean, and felt clean
• Hydrating Conditioner – I have a love hate of this. Remember I wear glasses this came in a pump action formula as well. I stood there for ages pumping away and getting nowhere. Then suddenly it started to pump out slowly. I did manage to get the required amount out in the end and it conditioned my hair lovely. This may work better in a tube though.
