Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 07/02/2024

A huge cheer as we all survived January. What a month that was and I for one am happy to see a new month. We are somehow at Wednesday again which means it is time for my weekly round up post Ramblings of a StressedMum – 07/02/2024.

I am away most of next week for my husbands belated birthday. So there may not be many posts from me. But will be back the following week.

Let’s Talk

lets talk

I seem to be failing on my weekly discussions posts this past couple of weeks. This weeks topic is about giving ourselves some tlc and making time for ourselves and giving us a little pick me up. I know, I should have posted on Monday. This week has got away with me. I slept most of Monday as was not feeling great. I did start writing the post yesterday, just need to finish it now. So you will hopefully get to see it later today or tomorrow.

Valentines Day

Valentines Day Gift & Date Night Ideas

Valentines Day is just days away, in case you missed my recent post. I have been looking at Valentines Date Night Ideas and Valentines Gifts that you can adapt to going out, or staying home. That are affordable and will not break the bank.

What I Have Been Loving

john wood hair colour

Over the years I think my hair has been most colours. Looking back at older photos I have been brown, reds, and various other colours. My first step into hair colouring was highlights back in the 80’s when highlights and shaggy perms were the thing.

Now, I am older which means the grey is getting more and more. I have opted to go for blonde. Which for those who struggle with covering grey hair, is the easiest colour to choose.

I was recently asked if I would like to review Josh Wood Hair Colour. After going on their site, I opted for my preferred colour 9.0.

Applying the colour was easy, one thing I did love was the after colour conditioner. It was thick so did not go all over which is common with other colours, and you got a lovely amount, which on longer thicker hair is often a problem.

the final hair colour

As you will see above, in a very rare photo of me the colour covered great, even the roots. This was taken a couple of days after the colour was put on. My hair felt soft and in good condition when washing.

When colouring my hair I usually have some complaints of something I am not happy with. But had no complaints with this and will be using from now on.
