It’s the summertime, which means it’s time for heatwaves. Over the last few years, heat waves have gotten bad, and it’s predicted that these heat waves are only going to get worse. Even though this may be the case, it’s important to find ways to keep yourself cool if you choose to stay active. So, here are some ways that you can keep healthy while you’re working out in this heatwave.

Don’t overdo it with the intensity of your workouts
You see people working out for hours at a time or doing intense workouts for months. Sometimes the intensity and duration of your workout surpass your recovery ability and you’re left feeling burnt out. It’s important to be cautious with the amount of time and energy you put into your workouts. Plus, this can be a lot worse if you’re working out during a heatwave.
Keep hydrated
Staying hydrated is one of the most important tips for staying healthy while working out in the heat. It is always a good idea to drink lots of water before, during, and after training. This will allow your body to stay hydrated and cool down. However, when it’s a heatwave, you’re going to need to drink even more water! It’s hot, you’re sweating, and you’ll sweat more due to the heat. So, in order to keep yourself going, you’ll need to keep yourself hydrated. Plus, it would also be ideal to drink a sports drink too so you can get your electrolytes back.
Stay cool by wearing light clothing
Wear light clothing that will allow you to easily sweat out any excess heat and moisture from your body. Sweaty clothes can lead to dehydration if not properly dried. Since you’ll be exercising during a heatwave, then it’s going to be best to look into the loosest fitting exercise clothes you have to help you out.
Don’t overdo it – listen to your body
While it can be good to use enclomiphene citrate for increasing testosterone, it’s not going to help you if you’re not listening to your body. During heatwaves, you just need to be careful. If you’re getting too hot, or even too exhausted, listen to your body and rest. A heatwave is a really bad time trying to push yourself to work out harder. It’s just not going to be a good idea as you could risk yourself getting injured or even sick.
Workout in a cool area
This can be easier said than done, as most homes do not have AC. Plus, a lot of gyms won’t have them either. But, if you have a gym that you go to that does have AC, then make sure to fully embrace it!
Take a break
You don’t need to work out every day. Plus, if you work out at home or in a place that doesn’t have AC, then why not skip exercising until the heatwave is gone? You won’t lose any gains, so there isn’t going to be anything to worry about. But in order to avoid heat exhaustion or even a heat stroke, it may be best to go without exercising for some time so you can feel better.

Listening to your body is always good advice but especially so during a heatwave. I recently heard someone in the medical profession explain exactly what damaging physiological changes occur to the organs of people who are undertaking any form of exercise in extreme heat.
Fitness enthusiasts – and anyone doing heavy manual work- in a heatwave should take advice and be very careful!
I am always saying listen to your body, as it knows what is going on.
Lots of useful tips, it has been lovely seeing my children enjoying the sunshine instead of being shut indoors on their screens

We need to remember sometimes that working out is to ultimately stay healthy and fit and if that is compromised by overdoing it then we should rethink why we are exercising. If it is to relieve stress then we should try to look for an alternative way, like yoga or mediation.
I totally agree, I hear of people who get so into their fitness that it does start to go the other way
I must admit I didn’t workout at all during the heatwave.
