Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 18/09/2024

As it is somehow Wednesday again, and I missed last weeks round up. I am overdue a weekly catch up. Honestly, there really is not much to share which you will find out in my Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 18/09/2024.

Health

health

This is never ending, I am totally drained. I am still suffering with all my pain down my left hand side. I do have blood tests booked for beginning of October which will show how the medication I have been on is helping.

Update On C

She is now back in college, but the dizziness she has been suffering is still there. We had another Dr appointment last week, which has resulted in her having numerous blood tests (these are also booked same time as mine). A chest x-ray which we are going to today. The Dr has no idea but we are literally going through various options to tick everything off.

Update On My Dad

As you will know my Dad has been unwell, and in and out of hospital for a few weeks now. He is still not well and has to keep going back for outpatient appointments. He is now struggling to breath, struggling with eating and chocking when swallowing medication. I am pretty certain he has an infection which they have put him on antibiotics for. But they are either not strong enough or the wrong type. I am having to deal with him and my Mum going into meltdown every 5 minutes. Plus C before I think about myself. I have written a list of everything that is wrong for them to give to the Dr when they are there today.

Time Out

time out

You will have seen that I have been busy on the blog and with my go to place when I need a time out. Yes, I have been baking and have done a lot of baking. This is where I just switch off and totally absorb myself in recipes, you can find out what I have been baking here

Anniversary

anniversary

In just over a week, we will be celebrating our 22nd Wedding Anniversary. We have planned two nights away at a lovely hotel with a Spa. I need this break and looking forward to getting away to unwind and enjoy a few spa treatments. C is not in college on a Friday, so we are going Friday and coming home on Sunday. Am now keeping everything crossed that we can go away.

  1. Man when it rains it pours. I truly hope you get to go on your anniversary getaway. I’ll be keeping you, your daughter and your father in my prayers.

    1. Thank you, just got back from visiting dad, he may be coming home Thursday or Friday depending on how treatment goes. We are going away Friday now as everyone is insisting

  2. I’m sorry you’re going through so much. This has been going on for a while now, and it must be tough for this to keep dragging out.

    1. I have spoken to my Mum and we are going away next weekend. My Dad said they are hoping he will be home middle of next week, but then he told us he just has a cold yesterday which he doesnt

  3. It sounds like you all have been going through a really hard time. I do hope things get better and am glad you can find some peace in baking.

  4. I totally understand that sometimes, the battle with health issues can feel like never ending. But in my experience, the only thing we can do is to move forward and find ways to get rid of it. Wish you a speedy recovery!

  5. You must be wearing a Superwoman cape that your family can see but you can’t. I sincerely hope that you do manage to get away for an anniversary break. In the meantime, keep baking as that is an enjoyable distraction. Does chatting to the budgies help?

Married at First Sight is not my thing but pleased you’re enjoying it.

    1. I am no superwoman just hanging on in there. I am not sure if we will get away now as my Dad was admitted to hospital yesterday and I am pretty worried about him. The budgies take a lot of my time as I a always popping in to chat to them or have them hop onto me to have a chat.

  6. I am so sorry you’re feeling drained for some reason, and for some time now, I’ve been feeling super tired. The idea of baking as a way to destress is very appealing to me. I love your recipes.

    1. I think it is just everyone relying on me and I am everyones verbal punching bag for them to let out steam. Not in a horrible way but they can talk openly to me to release from them. Baking is my saviour at the moment

  7. Oh, man. The hits really do keep coming don’t they? I’ll be keeping you, your daughter, and your father in my prayers. Good luck!
