1 – Create A Guest List

The first thing to do decide on how many guests you would like to invite, and then compile a guest list. Always have a few on the reserve list if you are limited to numbers. For those who can not attend.
2 – Party Theme

Once you have the guest list, you will then want to find a theme for your party. Will it just be a get together, or will you want to go in with a theme – a few suggestions you could use are –
- Gatsby Glamour – Embrace the roaring ’20s with a Great Gatsby-inspired theme. Think glitzy decorations, art deco motifs, and guests dressed in glamorous flapper-style attire
- Black and Gold Affair – Create an elegant atmosphere with a black and gold color scheme. Use gold accents in decorations, table settings, and attire for a sophisticated and classy look.
- Disco Fever – Transport your guests back to the disco era with a disco ball, funky lighting, and a playlist filled with disco hits. Encourage guests to wear their grooviest ’70s attire.
- Winter Wonderland – Embrace the winter season with a magical “Winter Wonderland” theme. Use white and silver decorations, faux snow, and twinkling lights to create a snowy atmosphere.
- Neon Glow Party – Create a vibrant and energetic atmosphere with a neon glow party. Decorate with neon lights, provide glow sticks, and encourage guests to wear bright and colourful attire.

A to do list is a must when planning a party. In fact you will probably have more than 1 to do list in the run up to the party.

6 – Decorations

Another addition to your to do list, is party decorations. Depending on your theme you can get decorations that are a perfect match. This is where you can grab a cuppa and look at the many places online for decorations. Look at personalised decorations such as Customised table runners.
7 – Costumes

If you are planning a fancy dress party, as hosts you have to go all out and have an amazing costume for the theme you have chosen. Will you be hiring a costume? If so make sure you visit a hire shop and book your costume early. Or start piecing your costume together yourself.
8 – Create Playlists

No party is complete without a great playlist. Start compiling a playlist that will have the party going and people up dancing. Don’t forget to include some cheesy tunes.
9 – How Are you Counting Down To The New Year

Think how you are going to countdown to the new year
- Set an alarm for half an hour before
- Have party poppers ready for all the guests
- Pour out the bubble
- Put the radio or tv on to hear Big Ben’s chimes
