Life In A Lockdown Linky – Week 56

Life In A Lockdown Linky - Week 56

It is Tuesday again, I swear I only wrote last weeks Life In A Lockdown post a couple of days ago.  The weeks are flying past at the moment.

Have you managed to get out and start enjoying freedom, or are you still staying safe and just going out if you need to? I seem to have been busy, but not done much you can find out below.

If you want to take part in the linky the questions are

1) How are you feeling/coping?
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
3) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
4) Do you have any plans for lockdown easing?
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? (Especially if from a small business.)
6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
7) What would you like the future to know about life during a pandemic?
8) Anything else you would like to mention?

1) How are you feeling/coping?

I am doing ok at the moment, I think now that the fight for C’s EHCP is nearly over, I am a lot calmer.  I say nearly over as we are still waiting to see the draft copy and agree it.

I have mentioned in my posts on living with a chronic illness, how C has lost touch with all her friends.  On Friday I posted a facebook memory of C and her old best friend from Primary school in their cubs uniform (those on my facebook may have seen it).  The girls were inseparable, but fell out in year 6.  This was not a problem as they went to different Secondary schools. Friday evening her friends Mum messaged me ( we are still friends) asking if I could pass her daughters number onto C.  The girls have been chatting none stop since.

Whilst chatting with C, I asked if she had finished anymore pics and she said yes

I am so jealous of her talent, apparently they are from a group called NCT.

2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?

We had a lovely trip to B&Q, my husband loves that place.  Also our local garden centre now has a farm shop and we visited there, I was very good but could have spent a fortune.  Apart from that I have been sorting things around the house.  Plus working

3) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?

I have decided to bring back my Diary of a Menopausal Mum, it was a year to the day since I made my last post.  It is a lighthearted look at the menopause.

4) Do you have any plans for lockdown easing?

We have a few plans in place to meet up with friends, it has been such a long time since we last saw them

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? (Especially if from a small business.)

We are starting to make a little area in the garden where we can sit and enjoy the summer evenings. We purchased a fire pit last week for when it is a little chilly

6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

Seeing C smile and happy for being back in touch with her old BFF

7) What would you like the future to know about life during a pandemic?

Never take life for granted, be grateful for the little things

8) Anything else you would like to mention?

Keep on going, take one day at a time and we will get through this

Thank you to

    1. I have no idea what it is with B&Q, I said to C yesterday we are just popping out to B&Q and she laughed, my husband seems to forget when we go in there and look at everything. One time we went I swear he looked at every piece of wood we were there for hours

  3. It is so nice that shops have opened, we can go to garden centres and B&Q and obviously see people outside. I feel so much happier this week.

  4. We have been considering getting a firepit for our garden – it would make a lovely addition. Glad you are feeling ok.

  5. I’m hoping to meet up with some friends over the weekend , oh we are after a fire pit for the garden , roasted marshmallows, yum

    1. I hope you have a great time, I am planning on roasting marshmallows and found some giant ones in our local garden centre the other day x

  6. Things here have just started to really ease up (california). We went to disneyland yesterday, and I get my 2nd vaccine dose today! Light is at the end of the tunnel!
