Wow that was a bit of a mad week last week, it seemed to ever end. Plus was really busy with various things both blogging and at home. Which means it must be time for my weekly round up post in Diary Of A Menopausal Mum – 29/03/2022.

Education
You will all remember the battle we had with C and her lack of education. She is doing really well on her course and I get such lovely reports back on how she is doing. Tomorrow she is sitting her Maths exam and next Monday she sits her English exam. I honestly never thought we would get to this point.
She is struggling with tiredness, and does sometimes work online from home, but on the whole she is doing great. Plus she has put her application into College for September and has an interview in April.
Migraines
You may remember C had ongoing migraines, which means for the past 7 years she has had a non stop migraine 24/7. She has tried a variety of medications which did not help, and was given GON injections last year. They have made a huge difference, although not nice having the injections it is so worth it.
She had her last appointment last Tuesday, and for 2 weeks prior she was getting her migraines back. The good thing is I got her an over the counter migraine medication, and it worked.
We did not see our Consultant as she is on maternity leave, but saw a lovely Dr standing in for her who actually knew about ME and Fibromyalgia and discussed a new medication that he is going to write to our GP about. It was so refreshing seeing a Dr who understood chronic illness.
Mothers Day
I had a lovely Mothers Day and thoroughly spoilt by C, who gave me a lovely Pandora Charm. Then a lovely Mothers Day lunch out with my gorgeous granddaughters. I even managed to drive to Windsor without getting lost, and park easily. Although it was not in the car park I was meant to be parking in. Yes she does have a cocktail, where as I was on soft drinks as was driving.
I was shattered as we were out on Saturday night with friends in London, and of course I could not get to sleep when we got home. It was probably my brain was working over time, I remember it was 4.30 and still awake.
I hope you all had a good week, and a lovely weekend even if we did lose an hours sleep.

Finally it does seem that way and she deserves it all. We get it from our Consultant at the hospital
Sounds like you and C had a wonderful Mother’s Day! A Pandora charm is such a thoughtful and beautiful gift. I couldn’t imagine the pain she’s been going through with those migraines and I hope the new medicine helps her.
We had a lovely day, and the charm is beautiful. We were talking about her migraines today and she said it is so nice not having them now. I am so glad she tried the injections

Thank you, just had a call from one of her Tutors who was saying such lovely things about her. I had an amazing Mothers Day even if I couldn’t have a glass of wine with my meal

It’s great to hear the injections although not pleasant have helped C with her migraines. They can be quite unbearable so having something that eases them can be amazing. I hope all goes well with her exams.
The injections are amazing and given her a bit more of her life back, omg had her first exam yesterday and here tutor rang and told me her results she smashed it
C is so cute and sweet! I remember I gave my mom a Pandora bracelet for last year’s Mother’s Day. She was so happy as well. All the best!

I was very spoilt, I got a bracelet first, then I got one for my Mum, and them C got hers for her 18th
I got a Pandora charm on Mother’s Day too, I love receiving them on special occasions.
I do as well and love seeing them and making me smile x
I have struggled with migraines since I had my youngest. It’s not something I would wish on anyone. I hope that this new medication is the relief she’s been looking for!
I don’t suffer with them (touch wood) but my husband gets them, she has the GON injections now which have luckily worked with her. It has made a huge difference to her

She amazes me but she is a tough little cookie, her first exam is tomorrow morning and her next one is Monday morning. I know but touch wood we have now found something that works and does make a huge difference.
