It is another Wednesday, I am still in a daze and have no idea what I am doing really. But time for my weekly round up post Ramblings Of A Stressed Mum – 19/02/2025.

Health

C had her echo test on Sunday, ahead of her Cardiology appointment next Tuesday. I asked the lovely lady doing the test about the heart disease. She said it is mainly lifestyle and in older people, but there are some hereditary factors to it.
Hopefully, we can get a few more answers next week.
Sleep

I have always loved my sleep, on the odd time I could not sleep the next evening I would be struggling to stay awake. Put losing my husband into the mix and I am just not sleeping. So far some of the things I have tried is
- Sleepeaze tablets – These do help me drop off quickly, but I do keep waking in the night. But my eyes are heavy and tired so I just lay there
- Bach Rescure Night Pastilles – no idea if they work but using these and the day pastilles all the time
- Lavendar oil – I never used this in the bedroom as my husband would get migraines from it. I have been using in a diffuser downstairs.
Tonight I am going to try dropping a few drops on my pillow to see if it will help
If you have any ideas please let me know – I do not want sleeping tablets though
Grief

Today is 17 days since my world fell apart. During these past 17 days I have been numb and just in a daze. I am so grateful to the holidays and having C with me as although she has seen me crumble and break down she has also been amazing therapy and keeping me busy.
We sorted the flowers last Friday. Yesterday C and myself visited Bry to say our final personal goodbyes. I needed to do it and see him. I had so much to say and nothing I said seemed enough. It finally hit me on one part he had died, although it still seems like a bad dream.
Today myself, C and my mum are going to see the new Bridget Jones film. Which C asked if we could all do. Hopefully I can just forget and pretend he wont be there when we get home.
What I Am Loving
TheraTears

Our eyes are so important, which is why a much loved brand is TheraTears. Who make eye drops to cover all our eye irritations.
As you can imagine my eyes have been through a lots this past couple of weeks. Which is why I have been very thankful to being sent a selection of the TheraTears range to try, including –
- Screen Eyes – Refreshes and hydrates dry, red or irritated eyes caused by extended screen use
- Irritation & Redness – Reduces strain and refreshes sensitive or red eyes
- Overnight Restore – Repairs, restores and protects your eyes’ surface while you sleep.
I have used TheraTears previously and they have helped. I am currently using the Irritation and Redness drops and they have helped my poor tired eyes.
Work

This is still very hit and miss. I am trying to do something each day, just to try to focus on other things. My mind however has other ideas and I keep walking around the house in a daze.
With Valentines Day now over (that day was hard). I am now foucsing on Mothers Day and Easter. Which wil help me keep focused and busy.
I hope you all had a great week

take care and focus on one step at a time
thinking of you all
Thank you, this is so much harder than I ever imagined
I hope Tuesdays appointment goes well. Just keep taking it one day at a time
Thank you, am hoping that we get some answers
