I do love baking and trying new recipes. I recently found a lovely recipe for one of my favourite desserts. Tiramisu, but this is with a difference. I am sharing how to make an easy orange tiramisu.

As always I make all new recipes to the letter, as this is obviously a tried and tested recipe.
Table of Contents
Ingredients:
400 g (14.1 oz) tangerines + 3 tangerines for decoration
300 g (10.6 oz) ladyfingers
300 ml (10.1 fl oz) cream (33% fat content)
80 g (2.8 oz) powdered sugar
250 g (8.8 oz) mascarpone
Mold size: 18 – 20 cm (7 – 7.9 inches)
Directions:
- Peel the tangerines and separate them into segments. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whip the cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Add the mascarpone cheese to the whipped cream and gently fold until well combined.
- Line the bottom of the mold with a layer of ladysfingers.
- Arrange a layer of tangerine segments on top of the ladysfingers.
- Spread half of the cream mixture over the tangerine layer, ensuring it covers evenly.
- Repeat the layers: ladysfingers, tangerine segments, and the remaining cream mixture.
- Cover the mold with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld and the tiramisu to set.
Before serving, decorate the top of the tiramisu with slices of the remaining tangerines.
Slice and serve chilled, enjoying the refreshing citrusy flavours of this delightful dessert!

A Few Adjustments
As it was my Dads 80th birthday, I decided to make this instead of a traditional cake. They were away for his birthday so had this ready for their return. One of my Dads favourite desserts is also tiramisu, so this was a perfect opportunity to make and try the recipe.
I made to the recipe above and could not wait to try it. We did all like it but –
- It was a little too sweet
- Did not really taste of orange.
Not to be beaten, I dipped the ladysfingers in fresh orange juice, like you would with espresso when making a traditional tiramisu. I also cut the sugar down slightly and added grated orange peel to the mix to let the natural flavour seep through.
This in our opinion had much more flavour, the orange was not over powering but just enough. By cutting down the sugar it was sweet and creamy but without being too sweet.
I will definitely be making this again.
If you have some easy recipes you would like to share please send them in as do love a new recipe to try.

Sounds GREAT!
Frankly, I’ve never tried anything like this before. I am just aware of the regular Tiramisu recipe. But with orange flavor… wow! Very interesting!
It was nicer the second time when I had tweaked it a little, but something different and refreshing
Quick recipes like this are my absolute favourite. It sounds perfect as a summer dessert.
I am all for quick and easy and a few tweaks made this amazing
Sounds nice. Always risky trying to modify an established recipe but this might have achieved it. 😊😊
We all felt it needed adjusting, just a few tweaks and it transformed it. Again it comes down to personal taste and recipes are made for making adjustments too
Ohh I really enjoy little twists on desserts! Orange Tiramisu sounds like a fantastic twist, and really summery too.
I am the same, and happy with the little adjustments we made to bring out the full orange flavour

I have not had one either, as I said in the post though it did need a little tweaking
This looks so very refreshing! I can’t wait to give it a try!
We did enjoy it
It’s the coffee flavour/ smell that puts me off tiramisu so this sounds like a great way of enjoying it. I love most things orange flavoured x
This intrigued me as I do love traditional tiramisu and once we had tweaked it a little the flavour was amazing
I like the aroma of freshly brewed espresso mingled with zesty orange zest. With spoonful of the delicate orange tiramisu, I felt like I was savoring a slice of Tuscan sunshine.
Now that has got my senses going, sounds the perfect combination
Sounds amazing – tiramisu is my absolute favourite! Sounds nice with orange!
It is lovely and fresh tasting as well, it is all about tweaking the recipe to get the best flavour

This orange dessert recipe can be a new addition in weekend party. Guests will relish special sweet treat.
Perfect addition and so quick and easy to make
This sounds so good! I’m going to dip the lady fingers in the juice like you did, BUT I’m going to leave the sugar the same. Every tooth I have is a sweet tooth! LOL
It is all about tweaking to your own preference, I have a sweet tooth but did find it a bit too sweet even for me
omg this looks super good and very healthy! I am doing it tomorrow…Will get the ingredients tonight after work.
Not that healthy but with the adjustments I made it is lovely and fresh and creamy
