The Benefits Of Owning An Air Fryer

Air fryers are popping up in kitchens all over the world now. And since the cost of living crisis started, they have grown more popular because they are so much cheaper to cook your food with than an oven. There are so many benefits of owning an air fryer. And if you are still indecisive about whether or not to buy one, hopefully, this will help you.

What Is An Air Fryer

What Is An Air Fryer

If you have a fan-assisted oven, then you will know that it cooks faster than a normal oven. An air fryer works on the same principle. But it is much smaller in size. It cooks at a higher temperature, and the fan helps to circulate that hot air around the fryer. Which means that it cooks food faster and leaves it crispy too.

Air fryers come in different sizes, so no matter how big or small your family is, you will find the perfect one to suit you. The more expensive brands will have more options for cooking your food. But if cooking really isn’t your thing, you can get away with a cheaper air fryer. There are so many benefits of having an air fryer, and the more you pay, the more benefits you will get to cook with.

There are so many benefits of owning an air fryer, like the fact that they are really healthy ways to cook food. We all love chips and oven chips are a bit rubbish. Deep-fat fryer chips come out greasy but air fryer chips come out perfect. They are perfect because you use only a tiny bit of cooking oil or none at all. when you cook without the cooking oil they are so much healthier than using a deep-fat fryer.

They are so easy to clean, you take the trays and parts out and pop them in the sink with the washing up. Or some models are dishwasher-proof, so you can just pop them in there with the dishes. For obvious reasons, the electrical part doesn’t go in the dishwasher or sink! Pop them on the top tray of the dishwasher so they don’t get thrown about too much in there.

You can make so many different foods in the air fryer, including cakes! So if you live somewhere that doesn’t have an oven, or your oven is broken you will have a great backup to cook with. Did you know you can even cook multiple foods in there at the same time too? So this saves on electricity and cuts down cooking time as well.

You can line your air fryer with silver foil to catch any crumbs that fall to the bottom. Then you just throw the tin foil away. The silver foil also stops your meat from shrinking as it cooks.

What You Can Not Do If An Air Fryer

What You Can Not Do If An Air Fryer

If you are using silver foil, make sure it doesn’t touch the metal element inside. This is a safety hazard and can cause your food to burn as well as your air fryer.

Spinach or kale is made to cook quickly, so don’t put it in the air fryer. The high temperature will make it cook too fast and burn. They are also light and can blow around as the air fryer works, then they will get caught in the coil and burn or smoke.

You cannot do your popcorn in the air fryer, no matter how tempting it might be. The popcorn throws itself around and will get lodged in places that it shouldn’t do in the air fryer. This will cause it to burn.

Another thing you cannot do in the air fryer is uncooked pasta. It needs to either be fresh or pre-cooked on the hob. Can you imagine putting dry pasta in the oven? It will just burn.

Lastly do not use too much cooking oil. The idea of the air fryer is to cook healthily without cooking oil. So oil doesn’t need to be added whilst you cook your food. You can use a tiny bit, but this is an air fryer and not a deep-fat fryer.

There are so many benefits of owning an air fryer. If you are looking at buying one in the near future, I really suggest that you do.
