You may remember that I have spoken about Vet’s Kitchen a few times now. They are a brand that I know and love, along with many other pet owners. Which is why, when I was contacted recently about Vet’s Kitchen Senior Dogs Club. I had to sign my boys up.
In case you have not seen my previous posts about my boys let me introduce them to you.

Max
Meet Max my Alaskan Malamute, who is an old man now as he is 12 years old. This is him at his happiest, which is scruffy. I have honestly never had a dog like him, this face can get him away with murder. He is gabby, argumentative, loves a good argument. He is also very stubborn, he will do things when he wants. For instance if the back door is shut and he wants to come in he will let you know. Instead of coming in he will just stand there looking at you.
The game we play is, I push the door too and he then comes in, looking very pleased with himself. If the water bowls are low, you suddenly hear them scraping across the floor. He is also very naughty and thinks he is still a puppy. But we would not have him any other way. My middle Son, adores Max they have a bond, and I even have to go and find Max so he can Facetime him or chat to him on the phone. Yes he does answer.
Bear
Meet Bear my German Shepherd, also known as the whirlwind. Somehow, he can join the senior dog club as he is now 7. Totally different to Max, Bear doesn’t need to be gobby as Max does it for him. But if a leaf falls off a tree three miles away, or someone dares to walk past our house. He doesn’t stop, he drives me mad at times.
We call him the whirlwind as trying to get a photo of him, is impossible, and I swear he sleeps with one eye open. He hates new people, until he knows them, is very protective. But is the only dog I have owned that you can literally do anything to. When I brush him, he likes to help, and he puts his mouth over my arm. If I am going upstairs he often lies at the top, you suddenly get his nose in your face.
So now you have met my cheeky and loveable boys, who drive me mad. But honestly, I would not have them any other way.
The Senior Dogs Club
Launched on 8th November the Senior Dogs Club is dedicated to the older dogs, and available to all dogs aged 7 and over. It is easy to sign up to the club.

This is such a lovely club to join, and with an estimated 9.6 million pet dogs living in the UK, of which an estimated 40% are over the age of 7, which in human years is around 65 (depending on the breed). It shows how much we do love our furbabies.
Once you have joined you will receive a confirmation email, welcoming you to the club. Your downloadable pass and code for a free bag of food.

Both of yours are beautiful! I have a 12yo dachshund that we call a forever baby but I guess I need to acknowledge that she is most definitely a senior.
Aww I love dachsunds my friend has 3 and they are lovely, it is hard to believe how old they get at times

Max and Bear are gorgeous senior dogs. I must admit I am a huge fan of Alaskan Malmutes – they are beautiful dogs. The Senior Dogs Club is a great idea.
