4 Natural Products To Hydrate Your Skin This Winter

The harsh winter weather can be tough on your skin and dry it out a lot. When your skin is dry, it looks very dull and patchy, so you need to make sure that you care for it during the winter. There are plenty of skin products on the market to deal with dry skin but a lot of them are quite expensive and they may contain a lot of chemicals. If you want to avoid that, you should try to shop for natural products that are made with simple ingredients. There are also a lot of household products that you can use as natural moisturisers as well. These are some of the best natural moisturisers to protect your skin in the winter.

Olive Oil

Natural oils are very important for keeping your skin hydrated. Olive oil is one of the best things to use for this because it has a lot of antioxidants that help to repair skin and soothe inflamed areas. It can also help to prevent fine lines and wrinkles so it’s a great addition to your anti aging routine. All you need to do is apply a thin layer to your skin and rub it in, then leave it overnight. When you wash your face in the morning, it should be nice and supple.

Honey

Honey is present in a lot of natural skin care products because it’s a great moisturiser. If you rub some into your face and massage it, then leave it for around ten minutes before washing it off, you should notice a big difference. You can use this in the mornings as part of your normal routine.

Hemp Oil

Hemp products are so popular right now and people are using them for all sorts of things. There are more hemp oil based skin products available and they’re great for use during the winter. It contains a lot of omega-6 fatty acids that encourage new skin cells to grow. It also helps to reduce inflammation so it’s particularly good if you suffer from acne and breakouts. There are hemp based creams available but you can also massage a small amount of the oil directly into your skin.

Aloe Vera

One of the big problems with a lot of the thick moisturisers that you can buy is that they are very greasy. They do hydrate your skin, but they leave your skin feeling greasy and looking a little shiny. That’s why an aloe vera plant is such a great alternative. The inside of the leaves have a thick gel like substance that you can use to moisturise your skin without leaving it greasy. If you get a plant, you simply need to break a leaf off and squeeze out the insides. If you do not use it too regularly, you can let more leaves grow and you will have a constant supply to use on your skin.

You do not have to use expensive skin products that have a lot of ingredients that you don’t recognise, you can use these natural alternatives to keep your skin hydrated in winter instead.
