Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 26/02/2025

Just like that we are at Wednesday again. Which means it is time for my weekly round up Ramblings Of A StressedMum – 26/02/2025.

Health

health

C had her Cardiologist appointment yesterday. Her Consultant was lovely, really understanding and explained everything in a way we could understand. The relief poured from me as he explained that her heart is fine, all the tests showed nothing nasty going on. The pain she is having is probably due to stress and nerves so has suggested stretching to see if that helps.

I mentioned POTS to him and he asked C a few questions. He is referring her to a hospital in Hammersmith, which sent me in panic mode. This is because it is something my husband would take us too. She will be tested and have the dreaded tilt test but we also get results same day. He is also doing a check up in 4 months time

Grieving

Grief

This past 3 weeks have been the worst of my life. I have suffered panic attacks that I have never experienced before. I have dealt with a lot of stress and anger caused by certain family members. Plus the pain of dealing with my soulmates sudden death.

I am still not sleeping but am finding Lavendar oil is helping.

This week

I have one of the boys coming tomorrow to stay and the other on Sunday. I need all three kids around me and it will be the first time in about 7 years they have all been together at one time.

For the funeral on Monday I have got myself and C a lovely necklace each with a robin on. So we can wear it to remind us of my husband. For the boys a leather bracelet with the infinity symbol with lovely wording about their dad always being close

Gift Guides

I am finding work difficult. As I try to sit and work I suddenly find myself walking around the house. One thing that is helping is my gift guides. I am working on two at the moment – Mothers Day and Easter.

Recipes

recipes

As you know I was going to up our meals this year and try a new recipe each week. The past three weeks I have barely cooked. Apart from the odd jacket potato and sausage and mash C’s comfort foods.

C would often eat different meals to us, due to both her and my husband being fussy. Chatting to C last night we are going to try one or two new recipes a week. Plus make a meal plan and start eating properly again from next week.

Hopefully, some new recipes will be coming soon.

What meals do your family love?

  10. Condolences on your loss. Just looked at Songkick for what’s coming up concert-wise and I see Jizzy Pearl’s Love/Hate, Martin Turner, Avantasia and Syteria. Not all on the same bill: that would be a bit too eclectic.

I’m also looking forward to a bit more outdoor activity. I’m planning to get back into some longer walks and maybe even start some gardening. And of course, I’m looking forward to all the Easter treats starting to appear in the shops! It’s always fun to see the new chocolate eggs and other seasonal goodies.

  13. So pleased to hear that the cardioligist appointment well. The robin neclaces and bracelets are a lovely way to remember him.

I’m hoping the weather is going to turn spring like in March. My body has hated the cold winter so can’t wait for warmer weather!

  14. What a relief that C got the all clear with her heart, it must have been such a worry though. Good luck with the next hospital visit.
I hope all goes as well as it can with the funeral, sending love and hugs. x
