Making Meals Fun With Tropical Sun
17 July 2023

If like me you find meal times boring. From having to think what to have for dinner the night before, or that morning. Of course, your family are no help, as mine say it is too early to think about what to have for dinner. I really wish I could say the same thing. Until now, as I have found a way of making meals fun with Tropical Sun.

About Tropical Sun

Tropical Sun live by the motto: ‘Variety is the spice of life.’ Tropical Sun’s journey started in 1996 when they began importing a few specialist ingredients and daily essentials for the UK’s thriving ethnic communities. As word spread, they began receiving requests for specific items from homelands far-afield: Spices, oils, drinks, and snacks that helped people stay connected to their cultures and now have a range of over 700 products from around the World. Loving that food helps to bring people together.

Boston Bay Jerk Seasoning

The birthplace of jerk, Boston Bay is famous for its jerk pits. Where meats are smoked to perfection over pimento wood – and where the tantalising jerk aroma carries on the sweet, cool breeze. Packed with fresh veg and herbs including scallions, garlic and thyme. Tropical Sun Boston Bay Jerk is made to a traditional Jamaican recipe with spices only found in Portland.

Jerk Seasoning – Dry

If you’re looking to heat things up in the kitchen, this blend is just for you. It complements chicken, fish, and any kind of red meat extremely well. It has all the principle ingredients that go into a jerk seasoning blend. Such as allspice, hot peppers, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. To balance out the flavours, you can add  variations of sweet flavours such as brown sugar, or honey, pineapple or mango to your taste if you are making a wet version.

Jerk Sauce

Tropical Sun Jerk Sauce! For that unmistakable Jamaican flavour. Simply add a drizzle to your dish or on the side of your plate for easy dipping.

Jerk BBQ Sauce

Sweet, smoky and spicy, Tropical Sun Jerk BBQ Sauce is bursting with flavour. Pimento, chilli, tomato, onion, oregano, nutmeg, ginger and many more fruits, herbs and spices working in perfect harmony for the ultimate sunshine sauce and jerk marinade ingredient. Don’t be shy! Drizzle over your chicken, chips and eggs and into your wraps and burgers.

My Opinion

I do love jerk chicken, and will be marinating chicken breasts in the dry jerk seasoning for dinner tonight. I will serving with fries, corn on the cob and coleslaw. On Saturday I used the jerk BBQ sauce with burgers and they were amazing. I am looking forward to trying the rest of the sauces.
