Week 89 - StressedMum
We are in week 89 of Life After Lockdown. From the beginning of lockdown I have been taking part in a linky where we answer questions of how the past week has been. Originally in lockdown, and now after lockdown.
With new variants, we are finding secure measures coming back into force, how are you feeling about it all.
How has your week been? Read on to see how my week has been.
For those wanting to take part the questions are

ToggleAs you may remember me saying, I had my biopsies on Thursday evening 4 biopsies and stitches later and still very sore and painful, and finding I have to keep standing up as it hurts too much to sit down.
Poor C is struggling again with her abdominal pains and a sickness feeling, she is describing it as wanting to be sick but cant and knives stabbing her. We had a few GP appointments (over the phone last week) which were useless. Rang 111 on Saturday after her saying she had chest pains as well. We thought it might be the virus she had that hospitalised her last year. A day sat in A&E where she had an ECG and various tests, we were sent home and told to speak to our GP to arrange a referral. Yesterday morning I got an appointment with one of our regular GP’s who cancelled the call and did a video consultation instead. She was very thorough in her questioning and prescribed a few new medications and putting the referral through.
This time last week I was so unprepared for Christmas, as I was not doing much over the weekend I have now sorted Christmas, now just need to do all the wrapping.
Apart from the above, not a lot just taking it easy and working of course
We are all in this together, as my parents used to say treat others as you would like to be treated yourself. So be respectful of distance and rules
Again be respectful of others wear your mask and use hand sanitiser
I have been on another planet most of the time, I promise I will share at some stage
My friends and family
My dogs, they have been of fine form of just being so funny
I was disgusted while sitting in A&E at the way another patient spoke to staff in the hospital. Both myself and C looked at each other in disbelief, we have not experienced discrimination before and hope to never again. Be kind and respectful to each other, these Drs and Nurses are doing an amazing job and are not there to be treated like this.
I don’t understand people who speak horribly to anyone, especially those who are just trying to do their jobs.
Neither do I, sadly they have to stand and take it
Oh wow, your daughter’s pain sounds horrendous. What an awful time you are going through. I hope it gets sorted out soon. At least you have managed to sort Christmas and prepare for that.
It does and it is heartbreaking to see her suffer and not be able to help or get any help, I just need to wrap presents now and wait on deliveries
That’s good that you had a video conference and you got to ask lots of questions, I hope you guys get something sorted so that you guys get a bit better x
Thank you, the GP we spoke to is good and the video was easier for C to explain, just a long wait now for her hospital appointment
I’m glad you got to speak to a doctor. It helps when they ask plenty of questions to get a full picture of the issue.
It did seem helpful but C is still not feeling well her abdominal pains are through the roof and she has this constant sickness feeling
