Plus I saw this on Facebook the other day which may be of help if heading out and about this Summer. A list of where kids can eat free or for £1.

Do you have any fun activities to keep the kids entertained this Summer.

Great read, it makes me long for a warm sunny summer
I would love warmer longer days right now as well
Those smores look amazing! We did most of these things, especially going to the beach as we are very lucky to live near one and the weather was very good to us.
The smores are so quick and easy especially when you need that treat. You are lucky to live near a beach
Fun need not break the bank – great list of freedom and fun
I was talking to my Daughter in law last night, she has been busy with a few days out this week, but that is due when her and her friends could get together. But we were saying the kids are just as happy playing in the park with a picnic
Used to able to send the kids ourside for a couple of hours without worry
Pity we still can’t do this mow
I know I used to go out playing, luckily my daughter in law has a huge group of friends with kids and so there is always someone watching over them
Love this list! I think it’s important for kids to be able to experience different activities.. In today’s world so many kids are consumed by technology at a young age, it’s nice to see them out and about or engaged. The fact that these are budget-friendly is a huge bonus!
I am quite grateful for a bit of screen time when I have my grandkids, but that is usually while I am cooking dinner just to get some peace. I am also a firm believer in they need to be outside playing and using their imaginations. Or creating things etc
That’s a cool list you shared. There are so many activities we can do in summers. Our favourite is going for walks, picnics on the beach and stay in the pool for hours.
Sounds like perfect Summer fun
I am so excited for summer! These are such good ideas – we love going to the beach and having beach picnics for dinner.
Picnics are all part of Summer no matter whether at the beach, park or on the floor in doors if it is raining
I think you mentioned some really cool ways to keep the kids occupied. I think picnics and beach days are the best.
They are the best days, it is not about how much money has been spent but all about having fun and making memories
Great tips! These budget-friendly summer activities are perfect for family fun! Thanks for the inspiration!!
It is always good to have somewhere to check to have fun no matter what you do or budget for the day is
Love this post as it has lots of budget friendly ideas that do not cost the earth or just require a bit of advance prep for example packing a lunch xx
Exactly, kids are not really that bothered about going to expensive places but having fun and making memories
These are all fantastic ways to keep the kids entertained this summer! Arts and crafts will always be a hit for my nephews!
My kids used to love arts and crafts as do my grandkids
These options are awesome! As you mentioned, a lot of these options are fun and very exciting without having to pay a ton of money to enjoy them. Great ideas.
It is all about memories, as my kids have agreed that they remember things from when they were little. Like silly family in jokes, or time spent rather than what was spent on them
There are definitely a lot of fun things to do in the summer that won’t break the bank. These are great ideas, for sure!
It is always worth having some ideas ready
It can all get so expensive. We tend to do a lot of park days and walks in the woods. Then some money is saved for a few days out. We also love to bake at home and do a few movie days indoors.
It can get expensive especially with the kids getting bored, and us parents feeling guilty we are not doing enough. Even staying at home is hard as they are always hungry.
These are all great ideas to keep the kiddies busy over the summer break. I do love to do movie nights with the kids with all sorts of treats, that can be fun.
Movie nights or afternoons are great fun especially with all the snacks
The list of places where children eat free or for £1 is very useful. I was not aware of most of them!
It is a great list, this came up on my facebook the other day so thought I would share it
These are all fantastic suggestions, and when my kids were younger we did many of them each Summer. We were definitely able to have fun while saving money. Fun doesn’t have to be expensive!
I agree fun can be just normal things, my daughter used to love walking in the woods. Which meant the dogs got their walk and we would look for the gruffalo or pick up fallen leaves and twigs to do arts and crafts with
Thanks for the recipe, the ideas and the Kids Eat Free menu. Yes, summer holidays can be very expensive even if you’re staying at home. I’m very thankful for the £2.00 to anywhere bus fares available at the moment.
I did not know about the £2 bus fares anywhere that is great and means you can get out and about a lot easier
I love going on picnics or hitting the beach with the family. We often combine the two, which is always a great time.
Those days are always such fun and make so many memories
