I have been working with The Healthy Life Shop Healthy Life Shop, reviewing a range of their products.
The Healthy Life Shop is a small and friendly shop set in Devizes in Wiltshire, and now are expanding their market through their online store.
Premium Face Sponge – Green Clay
The Konjac Premium Face Sponge with Green Clay is a mixture of
- Food grade Konjac plant fibre
- French green clay
- Spring water
The sponge is suitable for oily t-zones and combination skin. The added clay is one of natures strongest antiseptics. Helping to naturally draw out impurities for a smoother,fresher complexion. – £9.99
How to use
- Rinse and fully hydrate the sponge
- Massage the skin in circular motions . You can add a cleanser or just use wet
- Rinse the sponge after use (do not wring or twist) leave to dry
- Use morning and or evening
- Replace after 3 months or if when it becomes damaged
- Can be composted.
My opinion
I do not usually use a sponge for cleansing my face, preferring to use cleansers and face masks. To be honest, I was unsure how I would find using the sponge, or how it would make my skin feel. I was very impressed with how much easier it is to use, without various lotions and how it made my skin feel after. This will definitely be something I will be using in the future.
Nordic Berries Shower Gel
Nordic Berries Shower Gel – not tested on animals and Vegan friendly. Nourishes winter skin. – £7.35
Vitamins and antioxidants from Sea Buckthorn, Blueberry, Cranberry and Rosehip combined with hyaluronic acid and diglycerine. Provides all skin types with great nourishment and moisture. Willow bark extract supports revitalisation of the skins balance and enamces te effect of the other plant ingredients.
My opinion
One thing I look forward to in the evening is a nice relaxing shower. I love shower gels that not only smell nice, but leave me feeling, clean and refreshed and without drying my skin. I can agree that this shower gel ticks all the boxes and one I am loving at the moment.
Burts Bees Hydrating Sheet Mask
One thing I love is face masks, they are my bit of me time. Where I can just apply the mask and sit back and relax. But one thing I do not like is the cleaning them off afterwards. I have not yet tried a sheet mask before so was intrigued as t how it would work. – £4.99
How the mask works
The masks are infused with
- Clary sage to instantly moisturise and balance PH. And to also improve the texture of your skin
- Extracts from plants and flowers. To help promote healthy skin, and effectively keeps the skin hydrated, revitalised and radiant. To leave your skin feeling soft and supply.
You simply remove the mask from the pouch and apply to clean skin. Lay back and wait 5-10 minutes and remove. You then simply massage in the excess formula.
My opinion
As already said I have not used a sheet mask before. I found this (once in place) very easy to use and there is no mess to clean off your skin after. As you simply massage any excess into your skin. I am converted and will be using these in the future. My skin felt lovely after and none of the usual cleaning after.
Rawganic Facial Wipes
I always have face wipes handy, for those days where I just need to give a quick freshen up to my face. Or after a night out am just too tired or lazy to take my make up off properly. – £2.99
Rawganic wipes are a quick and effective way to cleanse, tone and hydrate your skin. They will also remove waterproof mascara and are great for dry and ageing skin.

My opinion
I use wipes regularly, but unlike the usual wipes I use these have a lovely cooling effect to the skin. They also do not have that soapy feel that some wipes can give. I would also recommend having them close to hand in the summer. Great for refreshing tired skin.
Linden Hand & Body Lotion
Linden Hand and Body Lotion, is an everyday care lotion for dry and sensitive skin. Created for dry and sensitive skin. With a rich amount of vegetable oils and shea butter . – £14.99
My opinion
It is well known I love my creams and lotions. I always have them dotted around the house or in my handbag. One thing I do not like is a greasy feeling after using. This lotion is non greasy, absorbing into the skin. Leaving your skin feeling soft. I also love the pump action which is much easier to use than normal bottles. As you can easily manage the amount you use, and not have to juggle with a tube or bottle as well as having cream on your hands. A win – win situation for me. I will definitely be buying this again.
Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm – Pink Blossom
Burt’s Beens Tinted Lip Balms not only give you 8 hours of moisurisation but also gives you a hint of colour. There are 6 tinted balms in flattreing shades. My opinion
I suffer with dry lips and do use lip balms regularly, but will admit I have used the same brand for years now. I have not tried Burt’s Bees lip balms previously and love how they moisture the lips with the added benefit of a slight tint.
