The beaches, each with their own character, are one of the island’s main draws. Playa de Papagayo boasts serene emerald waters, tucked away in a protected natural park, making it perfect for those who enjoy peace and privacy. Elsewhere, the striking Caleton Blanco in the north is a contrast with its white sands meeting rugged black lava rocks, offering a more dramatic landscape.
You’ll find Lanzarote surprisingly accessible, as it’s only a four-hour flight from Ireland and the UK. On arrival, use the automated e-gates at the airport to avoid long queues, especially on weekends when the airport can be busy.
