Life always seems to be so busy, there is always something that needs doing, or somewhere we have to be. This year, my life changed dramatically and so suddenly with no warning. I literally nearly burnt myself out trying to be both Mum and Dad. I have no back up now, it is just me. Which is why I am sharing how to have that time out moment AMPthat we all need.
No matter what age your children are, and whether you are a single parent (which I now am), or part of a couple. We still find we are always busy and put off that all important time out moment. Below I am sharing some time out ideas we can all do.

ToggleOne quick and simple way to have a quick time out is having a hot drink. How many times have you made a drink and then got caught up in other things and it has gone cold.
As you all know by now I am a huge coffee drinker. Which is why having a good coffee machine is important to me. I literally press a button and like magic a fresh hot coffee appears. With so many coffee machines on the market it is always good to do your research to see which is the best one for you.
For me it is a machine I do not have to stand over, while I finish up what I am doing in the kitchen. I can then sit down and just take a few minutes to enjoy it.
The best bit is coffee grounds are good for the garden so I can use them around my husbands rose bush to help it grow and he can also enjoy a coffee with me.
Forget the quick dash in the shower or dip in the bath. Schedule some time where you can have a relaxing bath with your bath products. Or enjoy a shower with a special shower gel and then finishing with your favourite body lotion.
You can lock the door and hide away from the chaos going around outside the bathroom.
No matter how old you are, it is always a good time to start a hobby. Something just for you where you can escape and just have that bit of time for you and no one else.
This may sound a simple one, but how often do you sit and watch a film without pausing to do something? Put your phones on do not disturb and sit down and watch an entire film without any interruptions.
Grab the dog (if you have one) and head out and go for a walk. I always find I can clear my head while walking the dog – plus he is a great listener. Whether it is a quick walk around the block or a longer walk. You will be taking time out from the 101 jobs you have at home.
Or if pop on your favourite music pop on the headphones and go for a run.
These are just a few ways to take that much needed time out we all need. It really is not that hard for us to take just a few minutes out of our day for us.
