I know I do not talk about them regularly, but many of you know I have two dogs, Max and Bear. They keep me busy and are my boys. Plus they have also been great for stopping the boredom through lockdown. They are both such different characters Max is gobby. He loves nothing but an argument with you and he loves to have the last word. He is also stubborn and does things on his terms even if it is a minute after you want him to do something, unless you get stern with him. Bear is our whirlwind he is so funny and you can literally do anything with him. I am often found grooming him with him holding my arm. He is also a great guard dog as he can hear someone thinking of coming to our door 5 miles away.
As any dog owner will know keeping our dogs happy and healthy comes first. Apart from walking them, grooming them etc. We also need to maintain they have a healthy diet.
Both my boys eat a different diet Max has a raw diet where as Bear has normal dog food. But we do also watch what they eat with treats and biscuits.

A before and after photo together with 100 words to explain their journey. Would help the judges to choose the gold medal winner and runners up. The award scheme closes on the 30th June when the winners will be revealed in their glossy coat glory!!

I think the awars is a lovely idea! I know that when I am carrying extra weight it really effects my joints so it must be the same in dogs

It is so easy to overfeed dogs so this sounds great! We have to be strict with treats as otherwise the kids and other family members would feed him them constantly! We are very careful with his diet.
It is very easy to over feed your dog, especially when they look at you with those eyes, but giving treats can be done if kept an eye one

As much as we love to spoil our dogs, it can be easy to give them extras and although done in kindness it really is not good on their health. Having food that is balanced and nutrional to help keep our dogs in the best shape is reassuring.
