Celebrating the mud and mayhem that goes hand in hand with Glastonbury festival, known as one of the most popular musical events int he world for both artists and fans.  The book is packed with stories and pictures from the acts and those attending Glastonbury over the past 50 years.

I have so many memories but one of my favourites was riding in the bumper cars with him and we laughed so much when we crashed into people.That was back when you were allowed to actually bump other cars, I don’t think you can anymore.

My mum bought me up I don’t know my dad. But I do loads with my son first football match taught him how to ride his bike and the list goes on

One of my earliest memory was my dad dressing up as a lady and two of his friends pushing another one in a trolley made to look like a pram who was dressed as a baby. They were doing a pram race in the village, unfortunately the trolley tipped and the baby (man) fell out they didn’t win but did make me laugh. He was always up to something daft x

He was in the Royal Navy when I was a child and would return home from foreign trips with a doll dressed in the traditional costume of where he had visited.

Dad driving to Italy with our family and a caravan in a Singer Gazelle. Five of us through the Alps loaded up with tins of food because he thought none of us would eat ‘Foreign food’. This was 50 years ago so a real adventure. Hes still alive and still drives dad is 89 and will always be my hero!!

I never knew my Dad – he left when I was two, but I have fond memories of my husband taking our kids fishing and the delight on their faces when he got the box of maggots out!

Going to football games together.

When he came back from working in Germany, and had bought my sister and I back gorgeous dolls each. Was obviously nice to see him back home too!

My favourite memory of my dad is going on adventures when we were little and trying to get lost in order to find ourselves again, never did it occur to me dad knew where we were all the time lol

Climbing Goat Fell in The Island of Arran. I was about 12. It was a beautiful day. We took sandwiches and we made it to the top. Such a wonderful view. Loved it.

My dad always took us out of an evening while mum was at work, we were either crabbing, rock pooling on the beach climbing hills, or having adventures in the forests. Times I will always remember fondly

Fave memory would be a time when we went to a nature park and there was a river that had stepping stones going over it, and i was on his shoulders. I wierdly remember this and i was only about 6

Very lucky to have plenty! Hard to pick one so i’ll go with my wedding day when everyone else had left and he gave me the whole “are you sure?” “Let’s just have one more glass, it’s the brides prerogative to make him wait!”

It would be going to Plymouth Argyle with my dad with are season tickets to cheer on the green army to promotion have a good time.

probably the time he took me camping to the lake district but after our first night we were asked to leave the campsite as he snored so loudly the other guests complained. We ended up cycling back home (with some train journeys too) over 2 weeks and stopping at random campsites and b&b’s each night

Watching him unwrapping a sweet in his trouser pocket whilst sitting down in his armchair and then putting the sweet in his mouth. He did not offer around his sweets. But when I would give him a box of 50 big cigars I had got from the USA he would take them to his Union Club and hand them to his croanies.

I have lots but the main ones are when we had our annual holidays and I would bury him in the sand on the beach, or weekends when he would let me help him with the cars (he’s a mechanic) or doing diy/gardening

I have lots of great memories of seaside trips together to Bournemouth when I was young.

Dancing with him at weddings and family parties, very often the only ones up on the dance floor but he didn’t mind

Being in a 6-seater airplane piloted by my father, flying over the jungle to visit one of the aid projects he managed when we lived in Gabon. Because the plane was small, he flew quite low, so we could see the trees clearly, and every now and then we would fly over a clearing with a lake in its centre. If we were lucky we would be able to see elephants and other animals before they scattered into the jungle at the sound of the plane’s engine.

My favourite memory of my dad would be going on our annual holiday to Scotland to visit my grandparents. One year I did it on my own by train and he helped me by telling me which train to get on to go to the village where they live once I arrived at Edinburgh Waverley

I grew up in Glastonbury in the 1970s. My dad, who was a bank manager, gave Mr. Eavis a loan to build a cow shed – a silver pyramid cowshed!

When my first long term boyfriend dumped me, I didn’t want to go back to uni (where I had moved to be closer to him – I KNOW! DUMBASS!) – My Dad drove me back up playing awful Dad music all the way, from Cheshire to Scotland – he bought us McDonalds and we watched The Big Country on on the couch together – it was the most comforting thing ever!
