I know it might come as a surprise to my regular readers, who follow my Daughters illness. And know we live at hospital appointments, or the GP. But when something is wrong with myself, I often find it difficult to find the time to fit in going to see my doctor myself.
Sometimes, you don’t really need to see a doctor sometimes. And either feel you are taking up an appointment that someone else who needs it more than you could have. Or you just have so much going on, or it is too difficult to get out, that you carry on and suffer in silence.
In times like this I find The Independent Pharmacy offers the ideal service for me. You can either search by condition or medicine. Or you can get advice and read up on symptoms and treatments available. I would advise at this point, not to self diagnose and do go to see a doctor if symptoms are new to you. But if like me you have ongoing conditions like IBS. Which I have been living with for more years than I care to remember. Then The Independent Pharmacy is great, as you can find the treatment you require without having to step foot out of your front door. Which makes life a lot easier for me.
When ordering, you have to answer various questions and then this is assessed by an online doctor. They are all registered with the General Medical Council.
They really are the same as your local pharmacist but online. You find the medication you require click to buy and then complete the questions asked. You also have to sign to say you are over 18 and that all information you have provided is correct. With some answers they will require further information.
For those like myself, this service is a huge asset to me and one I will use. But only for treatment for what I know it is.
Lauren from Doctor4U says “It’s massively important to ensure that the websites you are using are regulated by agencies that allow them to sell medicines online.
