Following on in my Meet The Blogger series, today I am introducing you to Tee who blogs over at Miss Tilly and Me
TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF?
Hi. I am Vicky and I blog on www.misstillyandme.co.uk with my 9 year old daughter Matilda (Tilly). I am 46 years old and work part time as a fragrance adviser and cosmetics consultant for Superdrug. I love travelling and we try to get away every month.
WHY DID YOU START BLOGGING?
I had post natal depression and have no memories of the first 3 years of Matilda’s life. So I decided it was time to start writing things down.
HAS YOUR BLOG CHANGED SINCE YOU FIRST STARTED?
Absolutely, I kind of fumbled through the first part of my blogging life and I had no support networks until I discovered groups on Facebook (after about a year). My grammar and word count is appalling when I look back but it also shows how far I have come in blogging.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FUNNIEST MOMENT SINCE STARTING YOUR BLOG?
Some of the comments from trolls make me laugh, one was from my ex husband and he post anonymously thinking I wouldn’t know it was him.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR WORST MOMENT SINCE STARTING YOUR BLOG?
When my daughter was groomed online and I had nowhere to look for support, so I took a deep breath and shared my story. It was horrible seeing it there in writing but at the same time, it might help someone else.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A NEW BLOGGER STARTING OUT?
Don’t worry about stats, write for yourself and don’t be fake.
WHAT SURPRISED YOU ABOUT BLOGGING THAT YOU DID NOT REALISE BEFORE YOU STARTED?
That you could get things to review. I started blogging as an outlet and a year later, I got offered a tin opener, you would have thought that it was the crown jewels.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
I love travelling with Matilda.
IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY WHAT WOULD YOU DO FIRST?
Travel! I want to see the world and show Matilda so many different things.
WHO IS YOUR BLOGGING HERO AND WHY?
My blogging hero is my daughter Kim. She is 26 and suffers from severe dyslexia yet she blogs and doesn’t let the dyslexia stop her. She is a real hero for her younger sister who also has severe dyslexia
