Following on in my Meet The Blogger series, today I am introducing you to Louise who blogs over at Mum & Son Adventures.
TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF?
Hi, I’m Louise – the content creator for Mum & Son Adventures
WHY DID YOU START BLOGGING?
I started blogging as I wanted a new hobby and loved writing and sharing my ideas. It was something o has considered for a while and now I wish I had just started sooner!
HAS YOUR BLOG CHANGED SINCE YOU FIRST STARTED?
Yes, I originally started a blog with a different domain with a focus on events. I then realised that family related content was better received and I enjoyed it more.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR WORST MOMENT SINCE STARTING YOUR BLOG?
I think the only ‘bad moments’ are when I doubt myself and stress over if my content is good enough. It’s a struggle sometimes.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO A NEW BLOGGER STARTING OUT?
I would say it’s important to know who your idea audience and readers are. Perhaps write down everything you are passionate about and would like to write about. It’s also important to believe in yourself and do what works for you… it needs to be enjoyable!
WHAT SURPRISED YOU ABOUT BLOGGING THAT YOU DID NOT REALISE BEFORE YOU STARTED?
I was most surprised by just how much is actually involved in blogging. There is so many factors which you just don’t realise before you start. It’s not just the writing, it’s the photos, promotion, SEO, and so so much more!
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR SPARE TIME?
Blogging is my hobby but I also love spending time with my son exploring our local area and events and just having fun family time!
IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY WHAT WOULD YOU DO FIRST?
Go on holiday and then buy a nice house!
WHO IS YOUR BLOGGING HERO AND WHY?
I would have to say Vix Meldrew as she has been such an inspiration for me with all her blogging advise and resources. She also seems to down to earth despite her success.
