Make Someones Day With Bakerdays

We all like a surprise, whether it is our birthday, or a just because, as it means someone is thinking of us.  If like me you will also love to surprise your family and friends, which is why I love Bakerdays.

Who are Bakerdays?

Bakerdays are situated right in the heart of Nottingham, and not far from where I was born.  They deliver celebration and gift cakes to anywhere in the UK.  Having developed a versatile colour and decorating process to make the cakes personal to the receiver.  Which tastes homemade as if you made it yourself.

They offer a range of a great range of products including:-

  • Letterbox Cakes
  • Birthday Cakes
  • Ocassion Cakes
  • Cupcakes
  • Balloons
  • Brownies

They have a cake for every event and theme you can think of.

Letterbox Cake

I was sent a letterbox cake to review.

I decided to surprise C with a cake, she has been a complete star lately and deserved a treat.  I could have chosen quite a few options but finally chose the cute blue cake.

Once you have chosen the design, you then get to choose your flavour of cake from

  • Traditional Sponge
  • Rich Chocolate Chip
  • Gluten Wheat Free Sponge
  • Dairy Free Sponge
  • Lovely Lemon Drizzle
  • Half Chocolate Half Sponge
  • Vegan Sponge

It is great that they cater for all diets and allergies, I chose the Lovely Lemon Drizzle as we had been talking about making one a few days before.

My opinion

I knew exactly when the cake was arriving and had updates from the delivery company.

letterbox cake tin

On opening I was presented with a lovely tin and card.

The top of the cake is protected with a covering and there is a tag to pull the cake out of the tin safely, without ruining it.

the cake

I chose a picture of C from my favourites and it transferred lovely onto the cake.

The cake was moist and tasted amazing, and definitely one to go for if you do prefer a lemon drizzle.  The icing was lovely and soft and not too thick so did not overwhelm the flavour of the cake.

These are great for sending to a loved one, and they do taste great.

I am also able to offer you a 15% discount if you order from Bakerdays by adding code SM15 at the checkout.

The Giveaway

I am also hosting a giveaway to give one of you a chance to win your own letterbox cake of your choice.  Please see below on how to enter and make sure you read the terms and conditions.

It was a ring that my husband ordered for me (when he still liked me!). I wasn’t expecting it and it was a really nice surprise.

Ohh this is hard, I find every surprise special as it has such meaning behind it – though I do love a sweet treat when I’m feeling blue.
