Life In A Lockdown - Week 7

We are now into week 7 of the linky where I answer set questions each week.  The questions are all the same so it is nice to look back an reflect on prevoius weeks.  You can see my post from last week here.

So lets see how the past week has been for me in Lockdown

1) How are you feeling/coping?

Honestly I feel deflated at the moment.  Not able to visit friends or family but our neighbours have had visitors and parties the past two weeks.  Also struggling with the education system and having to fight to get her education for next year.

2) What are you doing to keep yourself occupied?

I am working still which is great and keeps me occupied, plus I am trying to work on the back end of my blog and old posts etc

3) How are you dealing with everything at the moment – are you self-isolated, going out for essentials etc? Has this changed?

We are isolating, we have C and my Dad both high risk so trying to stay in as much as possible.  Apart from popping to get milk or the chemist for prescriptions.

4) What advice do you have for others?

Stay home and stay safe, if you get asked to go round to see someone no matter how much you want to please do not.  The rules are there for a reason

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.

After my excitement of having ice cream delivered last week, I have arranged another booking for this week.

6) How has your routine been this week? (Question by Don’t Cramp My Style)

It has been the same nothing has changed

7) Have you planned anything for once lockdown is over in the past 7 days?? (Question by Don’t Cramp My Style)

Nothing new apart from meeting with friends and family

What have you done this week, share below as love to hear about what others are doing to get through lockdown.

  1. It has not been easy since the lockdown. However, having a positive outlook on the situation has been so helpful. I can’t wait for the pandemic to end so that I can meet with my friends and family and hug them.

  2. That’s so bad that your neighbours have had loads of people round and parties. The most we’ve done is drop some things to my nans and have a talk with us in the garden and them in the house x

    1. It is daily now plus their dog barking constantly we can’t even sit in the garden. I understand popping round and keeping distance but not everyday

  3. I’m sorry to hear you are having such a tough time with the education system for your daughter That’s terrible about your neighbours – but it seems to be so common. Thoughtless people. I’m pleased you got an ice cream. I’m ‘enjoying’ writing each week for this link up too.

    1. We are another week in and still trying to sort things out, our MP emailed me the other day about another concern and I have mentioned this to him as well. This is not a local issue this is a national issue which needs addressing. The ice cream was lovely x

  4. It does seem that every day is the same lately, isn’t it? There is not much motivation going around and I think everyone has started to struggle quite a bit.

  5. I think so far this week has been the hardest for all of us, we are isolating and staying in at the moment as we also work from home but it is taking a toll on our mental wellbeing. Trying to stay positive and enjoy the sunshine as much as we can.

    1. I think a lot of people are the same, I am finding it harder to self isolate and stay in, I see others out doing stuff or visiting places and really want to go out and have fun or change of scenery x

  6. Haha love it…I am so jealous about your yummy ice cream deliveries! I am missing my ice cream and it has been nice weather for it too enjoy xx

  7. I am sure I heard an ice cream van yesterday but didn’t spot him. I was going to flag him down as I know one has been doing the rounds and he puts the music on and then people queue up.
