Life In A Lockdown Linky – Week 66

As you are aware by now Tuesday is the day for my Life In A Lockdown Linky post.

This is a linky where myself and other bloggers have been posting every week since lockdown first began.  Answering set questions of how we found the past week.

It is lovely looking back on how different things were and how we all adapted to lockdown life, and then slowly coming out of lockdown.

I have had a very up and down week, and it has just proved how we are still stuck in lockdown even though we are moving out of it.

If you want to take part in the linky the questions are

1) How are you feeling/coping?
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
3) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
4) Do you have any plans for lockdown easing?
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? (Especially if from a small business.)
6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
7) What would you like the future to know about life during a pandemic?
8) Anything else you would like to mention?

1) How are you feeling/coping?

I am a lot calmer than I was last week, although I am still angry over the GP and even more shocked that so many others have told me of the same thing happening when trying to see a Dr.

In other ways I am feeling ok, we had the news that things are moving forward and restrictions lifting and masks are not compulsory.  There is no right or wrong in this, but I know I will benefit from not wearing masks indoors as I can’t breathe properly and my face goes sweaty and I start to feel like I am overheating.  What are your thoughts on the latest update?

2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?

I have not really been up to much at all, working, pottering around at home and helping my husband with bits he is doing

3) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?

I think it is my Trying to get to see your GP post, not because of the topic, but the fact it got people talking and I have had so many messages of other experiencing the same.

4) Do you have any plans for lockdown easing?

Plans to see friends and family, and hoping to get away for a week or so, but we are not booking anything as you just never know what is going to happen.  I have also promised my granddaughter I will take her to Chessington World of Adventures.

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? (Especially if from a small business.)

Nail varnishes, last year my husband treated me to a gel nail set and light for doing my nails at home.  I love it and just treated myself to some new colours

6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

My Mum she has been my rock

7) What would you like the future to know about life during a pandemic?

Never take life for granted, be grateful for the little things

8) Anything else you would like to mention?

Keep on going, take one day at a time and we will get through this

Thank you to

You’re right to never take things for granted, because you never know what things will change. I hope you manage to get C sorted out privately x

This past year has shown we should not take things for granted, but also helped us realise we never know what next week will bring so go and do those things you have wanted to do but put off

Such a great post and this really will be one to look back on when things are, hopefully, in a very different place. It feels like we’re through the worst of it (I so hope so!)

It has been nice looking back on just how far things have changed, I am not convinced we will ever get back to normality again

I am glad you are feeling a bit calmer, can you talk to PALS or something similar about the way you have been treated around C and her treatment?

I am going to talk to someone, I have heard of so many going through the same thing that it seems like the way things are. So it needs to be needed to shout and highlight how things are now to get it changed

A day out with your granddaughter at Chessington will be lovely. It’ll be great to do normal things once again.

I am glad you are feeling a little calmer this week although don’t blame you for being angry at all. Hope this week is a good one for you.

Thank you, I am now thinking this needs to be talked about more as it seems a lot of people are experiencing the same, so it is surgeries nationwide.

I love your motto of taking one day at a time, we have all had to do this in the last couple of years haven’t we seeing as none of us knew what would happen in our lives due to the pandemic.
