Life In A Lockdown Linky – Week 50

We are now into week 50 of Life In A Lockdown Linky, it is hard to believe I have been taking part in this Linky for that long.  This time last year we were at the start of a very different year.  Through out this time I have been sharing how our lives have been, it is also something to look back on.

Who would have imagined a year ago what we would be facing.

As you will know by now we answer a set of questions each week, sharing how lockdown has affected us.  How has my last week been.

1) How are you feeling/coping?

I am not feeling too bad at the moment, with the ability to now look forward and see normality coming back. It is my birthday in April and we have booked a meal out to celebrate, hopefully it will not be too cold.

We had our multi agency meeting last week regarding C’s EHCP, the meeting went really well and a lot of positives came out of it. I started by letting out my anger and frustration, which they understood.  There was just 3 of us in the meeting, but both were supportive and between us we managed to put a strong case forward.  It is going back to panel and it is now another waiting game.

Also felt very loved on Sunday as it was Mothers Day, We usually sort the presents out for C.  This year she got my presents herself, she kept it very secret not telling anyone what she had got.  I was blown away and yes got teary when I opened up a Pandora charm.  It is a heart with ‘Thank you for being my Mum’ engraved on it.

2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?

Nothing much really, just pottering around at home .  We have also been looking at when we can start to go out again and making plans.

3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?

Hopefully then end of this past year and looking forward to the freedom again.  I really did not realise just how much we took for granted.  It will also make us appreciate things a lot more.

4) If you could remind yourself something about this time in years to come what would it be?

Never to just take things for granted, no one knew what we were facing a year ago.

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.

I have been very good this week and not bought anything

6) What is a unique (or not) technique you have used to get you through this time?

Technology, not only for keeping in touch with my family.  I also use it for shopping and top up shops, which means I do not have to pop out to the shops for top ups.

7) What is something your readers might not know about you?

Every week my mind goes blank on this question

8) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

My family and friends, technology I love my FaceTimes, coffee and chocolate

Thank you to

I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it’s not too cold for your birthday so you can enjoy an outdoor meal. It’s things like that that are keeping me going at the moment, the hope of moving forward and change x

It’s crazy how long the linky has been going on for, but you’ll look back in a couple of years and it will be a useful reminder. The Pandora charm sounds lovely x

I’m an April baby too! It always rains on my birthday so I’m hoping we are blessed with some good weather and for your day it’s really not that cold. I’m glad you got some positivity out of the meetings last week!

Ahh, freedom – I can’t wait for that either. I am hoping we will be able to do some more of the things we used to love doing before by the time the end of this year comes around.
