Here we are at Tuesday, which is where I share my past week in lockdown in my Life In A Lockdown linky post.  We are now in week 49, I honestly did not think we would still be here sharing how we are coping. Things are changing now and things becomming much more hopeful for a more normal way of living

If you are interested in joining in the linky the questions are below.

The questions

1) How are you feeling/coping?
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?
4) If you could remind yourself something about this time in years to come what would it be?
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.
6) What is a unique (or not) technique you have used to get you through this time?
7) What is something your readers might not know about you?

1) How are you feeling/coping?

I am not sure really, one side of me is relieved we can start to live again, and be able to see family and friends.  Also will help situations of seeing Consultants etc much easier, as talking on the phone is not the same as face to face.

We are still fighting the EHCP for C, I have a mult agency meeting this week regarding this.  I am really not looking forward to it as no idea what it will achieve and I will end up getting annoyed and upset with the continual fighting.

2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?

Nothing much really, just pottering around at home.

I have spoken about C’s talent for drawing in the past, my Daughter in laws Mum messaged me recently after I had put C’s latest picture on my Facebook. She asked if C would draw one of our granddaughters, as C adores her Nieces I asked her and she said yes.  On Friday I casually asked how she was getting on with the drawing and she said she had finished it.

I sent it through to my daughter in laws Mum who was blown away.  I then put it on Facebook alongside the original picture.  The messages I got was amazing.  We have tried talking to C about setting up a little business to give her focus but we are just Mum and Dad.  She read all the comments I got and that my Daughter in law is in charge of talking to her about it, as she listens to her.

3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?

Normality, I new it is still a few months away but at least we can start to plan to see friends and family again.  Hopefully not too long before we can have our vaccinations

4) If you could remind yourself something about this time in years to come what would it be?

How much we really took daily life and freedom for granted, how missing seeing our family and friends would make us feel.  The vulnerability you feel just popping to the shops.

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.

New bedding, it had to be done with having our bedroom redone.

6) What is a unique (or not) technique you have used to get you through this time?

Technology, not only for keeping in touch with my family.  I also use it for shopping and top up shops, which means I do not have to pop out to the shops for top ups.

7) What is something your readers might not know about you?

I have been involved in a bank raid, I used to work in banking and we had a raid one late Friday afternoon.

8) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

My family and friends, technology I love my FaceTimes, coffee and chocolate

Thank you to

  1. I bet the bank raid was really scary! Your C is so talented when it comes to drawing, that picture is absolutely beautiful.

    1. It was scary but once it was over we were more annoyed to it happening on a Friday afternoon and we had to stay late. She is talented and I think she is starting to realise now x

  2. So glad for kids to be back at school as well and C has such an amazing talent! I totally love her drawing. It looks amazing!

    1. Thank you I can’t post the original picture on here as it has my granddaughters in, but those on my personal Facebook have seen it side by side.

  3. My children will all be back in school as of Wednesday and they need it as much as I need it. 🙂

Hopefully, we’re at the beginning of the end now. 🙂
