Life In A Lockdown Linky – Week 47

Life In A Lockdown Linky - Week 47

As you will all know Tuesday is my Life In A Lockdown Linky post, and we are now in week 47.  I keep remembering last year when we were told we would be going into a 3 week lockdown.  At least we are starting to hear about things moving forward now.

If you are interested in joining in the linky the questions are below.

The questions

1) How are you feeling/coping?
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?
4) If you could remind yourself something about this time in years to come what would it be?
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.
6) What is a unique (or not) technique you have used to get you through this time?
7) What is something your readers might not know about you?
8) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

1) How are you feeling/coping?

Strangely lockdown wise ok, I think it has just become a way of life at the moment.  Plus hearing the announcement makes it hopeful things are now and will continue to move forward.

I am still chasing dates for this multi agency meeting, regarding C’s education, so still stressing about that.  I have our meeting with our MP on Friday to see if he can help or support us in any way.

I am also worrying about both my boys as well, they are grown men and both contacted me yesterday about things.

We are still living in mess as waiting on delayed items being delivered for our bathroom and bedroom.  Fingers crossed we should be back to normality by the end of the week.

2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?

Decorating, and filling our skip it has been constant with trying to help my husband, work and run about after everyone else. Yesterday while taking rubbish out to our skip, I slipped of the step and landed hard, luckily am ok apart from my foot and ankle, which is agony and I can barely walk on.

3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?

Boris has addressed the nation, so am feeling hopeful things will start to improve and we can get back to some sort of normality

4) If you could remind yourself something about this time in years to come what would it be?

How much we really took daily life and freedom for granted, how missing seeing our family and friends would make us feel.  The vulnerability you feel just popping to the shops.

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.

Just bits for the bathroom really, although I have been buying new bedding

6) What is a unique (or not) technique you have used to get you through this time?

Technology, not only for keeping in touch with my family.  I also use it for shopping and top up shops, which means I do not have to pop out to the shops for top ups.

7) What is something your readers might not know about you?

I really can not think of anything at the moment, am sure there is a ton of things

8) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

My family and friends, technology I love my FaceTimes, coffee and chocolate

Thank you to

  1. I hope the meeting with your local MP on Friday goes well. I agree lockdown really has just become a way of life now that for many it’s become easier, let’s just hope that come April – things don’t go AWOL.

    1. Thank you, lockdown has become a way of live, so much so I have seen a lot of people saying they feel uncomfortable going back to normal life

  2. I really hope your foot and ankle is okay, my mum fell over last week but wasn’t lucky and broke her ankle! That’s exciting that you’ll have a new bathroom soon, we’re hoping to tackle ours over the next few months and I am so excited to finally have a bath x

    1. It is a lot better and pain easing, ouch to your poor mum I hope she is ok. We took the bath out as we never used it as takes too long to fill. It is getting there and had my first shower in it last night x

  3. I hope the meeting goes as planned and hopefully now with the announcements things will start feeling a bit more positive:) xx

    1. It is a lot better thank you, I am not holding out much hope as he can not influence anything but he can hopefully support us

  4. I’m so grateful that the sun is out now. I always feel so much happier when the weather is brighter! I hope your ankle is feeling better too.

    1. The sun always makes things much nicer, I love Spring for this reason. My ankle is a lot better unless I have been on it a bit too much
