Life In A Lockdown Linky – Week 46

As you will all know Tuesday is my Life In A Lockdown Linky post, and we are now in week 46.  I keep remembering last year when we were told we would be going into a 3 week lockdown.  We all moaned, and here we are in week 46.

If you are interested in joining in the linky the questions are below.

The questions

1) How are you feeling/coping?
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?
4) If you could remind yourself something about this time in years to come what would it be?
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.
6) What is a unique (or not) technique you have used to get you through this time?
7) What is something your readers might not know about you?
8) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

1) How are you feeling/coping?

I am still pretty much the same as last week, I am still in pain but have worked out it is when I do lifting heavy things etc.  I must be aggrivating something.

I have been looking at various education options for C, regarding getting her the EHCP she needs.  I have now had a variety of dates through for the multi agency meeting, which are all for the beginning of March.  This will give me time to put down exactly what we want and what they should be providing.  I will also have had our meeting with our MP.

Also pretty stressful here, my husband ripped out our bathroom last week, we waited to have all the new items delivered.  We were hoping that we (I say we but mean my husband), could get everything in place over the weekend.  Causing as little disruption as we could.  On taking out our old bath, we found the flooring was dangerous, and needs to be replaced.  So now waiting on the flooring being delivered.  It is lucky we do have a shower downstairs we can use.

2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?

I mentioned last week we are decorating our bedroom, that has come to a halt as our wardbrobes have been delayed.  We decided to start on our bathroom, but that is delayed due to the flooring.  I have been busy helping throw all the old bathroom items and tiles onto the skip. I am also starting to look forward to Mothers Day.

3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?

I am starting to feel more hopeful, I am hearing more and more people having the vaccine.  Surely, this is all positive steps forward to starting to hope for seeing friends and family

4) If you could remind yourself something about this time in years to come what would it be?

How much we really took daily life and freedom for granted, how missing seeing our family and friends would make us feel.  The vulnerability you feel just popping to the shops.

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.

It is my grandsons 3rd birthday this week, so have been buying his presents, luckily his Mum is going to wrap them for me.  Also a new mattress for my granddaughter as they have just moved into their own home and this is the only thing her Mum needs

6) What is a unique (or not) technique you have used to get you through this time?

Technology, not only for keeping in touch with my family.  I also use it for shopping and top up shops, which means I do not have to pop out to the shops for top ups.

7) What is something your readers might not know about you?

I really can not think of anything at the moment, am sure there is a ton of things

8) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

My family and friends, and coffee

Thank you to

Week 46, how scary is that! I said to my partner today, do you think we should have a ‘wow you’ve survived working from home for the last year’ party!

Lockdown literally has me finding any reason to throw a party!

I hope you get your bathroom done quickly, we ripped ours out when we first moved in to minimise mess further down the line but it’s still not been started yet. But I’m hoping it will be done in the next few months, fingers crossed x

We have had some set backs, such as finding the floor needed replacing which is now done. I hope you don’t have to wait too much longer

Home renovations can be so stressful, hope you manage to fix the bathroom floor soon and finish the renovation.
