Life In A Lockdown Linky – Week 19

Life In A Lockdown Linky - Week 19

Can you believe we are into week 19 of the Life In a Lockdown Linky.  Every Tuesday I have taken part in a linky sharing my answers to the same questions.  Of how we have coped in Lockdown right from the start through to when Lockdown started easing.  I have also started looking at making life easier and looking at sites, where you can find domestic cleaners near you, as I do hate housework. So time to share how this past week has been for us.

lockdown

1) How are you feeling/coping?

Not too good this week as am in a lot of pain and need to see a Dr but am waiting to see if I need to speak to them, or hospital first.  Am still very stressed out about C’s education for next year, school starts in a few weeks and we still have no idea what is going on.  I have everything I need now to send to appeal apart from a mediation certificate that should be through today hopefully.

Yesterday we saw friends for the first time since the week before Lockdown, the men went out for a beer and us girls had lunch out and a big catch up.  It felt great to be doing normal things again

2) What are you doing to keep yourself occupied?

C’s appeal is keeping me busy, I have also been busy working on my blog behind the scenes which takes time. I have also been trying my luck at winning some prizes from Clare at My Money Cottage who has a post full of money saving tips and Giveaways for Summer 2020.

4) What advice do you have for others?

I was chatting to a friend about this yesterday.  You can not stay hidden away for ever so get out and start living again, but remember social distancing, use the hand sanatisers and wear your mask.

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business

A new phone, which is being delivered today, I usually have a pay as you go and just update my phone when I need to.  But C’s phone is old now and I just felt like a treat so I bit the bullet and went for a contact phone. C is having my old phone when my new one arrives.

I also treated my husband to a case of ice cream soda drinks, unfortunately we are all drinking them and I even made ice cream floats for us all the other day.

6) How has your routine been this week? (Question by Don’t Cramp My Style)

Terrible with the pain I am in and the heat I am not coping very well with it and really struggling

7) Have you planned anything for once lockdown is over in the past 7 days?? (Question by Don’t Cramp My Style)

We saw friends yesterday and have plans to see our granddaughter again in the next week or two

Thank you to

  1. Oh no I hope you manage to get some help soon with the pain :(, what a nightmare not quite knowing where to go. I love that you managed to meet up with friends though.

    1. I am still working out where to go and with the pain and the heat it is making me grumpy lol, it was lovely seeing friends x

  2. We had exactly the same thought that even though I would love to, we cant keep hiding away. As long as we take care of ourselves and social distance hopefully we will be okay

  3. Is the pain linked to the stress? it might have an effect, did you know i asked some people about Coke Floats recently and they have no idea what i was going on about, putting Icecream ina drink etc..

    1. I don’t think the pain is linked to stress, but it could be had not thought of that. You never hear about coke floats now and we did enjoy them I have run out of ice cream so need to get more in my next shop

  4. I am not a big fan of wearing a mask, but I do think that they are a must. I wear glasses so I have to make sure I remember to wipe the insides of the lens with liquid soap before I leave the house, so they don’t fog up when I am in the shops.

    1. I am not a fan on wearing masks either, I got halfway down the road earlier and had to walk back to get my mask. I had heard that using liquid soap ruins the lens and as I have special coating on mine I am too scared to try it. I have found if I put my glasses over the mask on my nose it seems to help

  5. I do hope you feel better and get more details about Cs education. At least on the bright side you have treated yourself to a new phone, always nice to own a new gadget

    1. Thank you not sure if is something stupid or something I need to get checked. I do have a nice new phone and C has my old one which is better than the one she had poor thing

  6. I’m so sorry you are in a lot of pain and under a lot of stress, it can’t be easy. Yay for a new phone though, hope you’re enjoying it already.

  7. Sorry to hear that you are in pain, I hope that you manage to get to see your doctor. Hopefully your appeal will happen soon

    1. Still trying to work out if I need to see Dr or consultant, the appeal is now all ready to go so fingers crossed

  8. So sorry to hear you are in so much pain, I hope you get some help for it soon. Yay for the new phone though and ice cream floats sound delicious! I cannot believe it is now week 19! So crazy! x
