Life After Lockdown Linky – Week 83

Here we are in week 83 of Life After Lockdown.  From the beginning of lockdown I have been taking part in a linky where we answer questions of how the past week has been.  Originally in lockdown, and now after lockdown.

How has your week been? Read on to see how my week has been.

For those wanting to take part the questions are

1. How are you feeling/coping?
2. What have you been up to over the past 7 days? Are you living life as normal, being cautious or still being very careful?
3. What’s a helpful tip you would like the future to know about living in / or after a pandemic?
4. What tips do you have for others when out and about?
5. What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?
6. What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?
7. What has made you smile this week?
8. Anything else you would like to mention?

1) How are you feeling/coping?

We are finally a better household after that cough and cold thing, although I seem to need a cough as I am dropping off to sleep.  C seems over the worst of it now thankfully.

Been trying to think what she needs for her course next week, then had a lovely phone call from the Manager of the course yesterday, and now know what I need to get.

Stressed out over hospital appointments C is under a lovely Neurologist who has now gone onto maternity leave,  as she was ill with her last appointment it was cancelled and chased but no idea when her next one will be.  Sadly as it is for a GON appointment (injections for migraines) it is specialised.  Speaking to my Mum and we have contacted her private TMJ Consultant to see if he will do it, and my Mum and Dad said they will pay.  They obviously worked as she is in a lot of pain now from them.

 2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days? Are you living life as normal, being cautious or still being very careful?

It has been all about birthdays here, C is 18 on Sunday, I can not quite believe my baby girl is turning an adult officially.  All presents are wrapped apart from a couple we are waiting on delivery.  Also we have my granddaughters here next week as the baby is 1 on Tuesday ( can not believe that either) and coming so Grandad can do a cake smash photoshoot.  I ordered her presents and stupidly did not check the address so they have gone to her other Nannys house.

I have also been busy with my Christmas gift guides and have one going live every day.

3) What’s a helpful tip you would like the future to know about living in / or after a pandemic?

Life can change so quickly, and we went from living with no restrictions to becoming aware of those around us and our surroundings.  Use hand sanitiser, wear masks be aware of your own health as well.

4) What tips do you have for others when out and about?

Always carry a mask and hand sanitiser, use the hand sanitiser more than you would usually think too.  Also give others space and just be respectful. Numbers are going up and it is not over

5) What is your favourite post of the past 7 days (it could be yours or someone else’s)?

It is not a post but my eldest granddaughter started a new nursery yesterday, and has to wear a uniform.  She looked so cute and grown up.

Plus loving all the Christmas Gift Guides that are going live now.

6) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

My family and friends, they have kept me sane and put smiles on my face. Plus my son sending me a message about the train crash yesterday morning, checking my phone half awake and him saying he can not get into work.  He missed that train and was going to get the next one, that boy is the reason my hair is grey

7) What has made you smile this week?

Talk of our upcoming holiday in two weeks can not wait to get into the sun and relax

8) Anything else you would like to mention?

Stop panic buying, yes shelves will be empty if you keep panic buying.  But carry on as normal and the shelves won’t be empty.

Thank you to

I’m glad to hear the colds are now passing. A holiday sounds like a good idea to escape this horrible cold weather. I hope it’s somewhere warm x

I just have a niggly cough now but over the worst of it thankfully. Poor C we have my daughter in law and granddaughters coming on Tuesday as it is the youngests first birthday and she asked my husband if he would do cake smash photo shoot, luckily the course is half day so she will see them either before or after. Still need to get a few bits for her birthday and also looking forward to a nice meal out

People in my town stopped wearing masks weeks ago – it’s almost like the virus was never there. It’s great you had birthdays to celebrate! I love a good celebration.

Yes to always carrying hand sanitiser and also happy birthday to C! To be honest I have good and bad days, I’ve had a lot of anxiety lately and I know it’s to do with living through a Pandemic
