Here we are on Christmas Eve Eve as my kids used to call it. Somehow, we have all managed to reach it to here. As we get ready to celebrate Christmas, totally different to the Christmas celebrations we are used to. I want to wish you all a Happy Christmas.
Like many of you, we will be missing family this year. For years my Mother in Law has always celebrated Christmas with us. It will be strange waking on Christmas morning without her here. We will be FaceTiming her. I will also miss out on visiting my Grandchildren during Christmas week. To give them their presents and spend some magical times with them. I have no idea when we will be able to visit them again, hopefully not too long.
For the first year I have not set foot in one shop to do my Christmas shopping. All mine has been done online, with various packages arriving sometimes daily. I do seem to have brought less this year as well and no idea why. As nice as it has been to stay indoors in the warmth from the comfort of my settee. I have missed going to the shops and getting into the Christmas spirit.
This year it will just be the 5 of us for Christmas dinner. To make it a little more special C and I ordered some more expensive crackers to those we usually have. Also a tradition in my house is to have a present after our meal, my Mum always arranges this. I always get her table present, which I am winding her up with. I have told her it is different from usual, but something she has mentioned.
No matter how you are spending Christmas, I hope you all have a great day. Enjoy eating too much and spending time with those close to you. Thank you to each and everyone of you for sharing all the ups and downs this year. I will be closing down and enjoying time with my family, I have my baking day tomorrow, where I make sausage rolls and mince pies with C. Then it is just a time to have fun and relax until the New Year
