1st Blog Anniversary

1st Blog Anniversary

Today is my 1st Blog Anniversary, and what a year it has been 🙂 I started my blog last year, because I enjoyed reading blogs and was at a stage in my life where I thought this was something I would like to do.  I had no idea about blogging really, and reading blogs from your favourite and new bloggers, is totally different to when you actually start blogging. So, a year ago today, after telling my husband I wanted to start writing a blog, he set me up and…

My Week – 26/03/16

My Week – 26/03/16

Another week has passed and time again for my weekly update.  This week has been full of firsts for me. I will start with an update on my Daughter for all those following how she is doing, she is no better, I have spent the week trying to speak to her Consultant with no joy.  Our GP decided to refer her to CAHMS and I spoke to them on Monday, but she said they probably couldn’t help after I described about her illness and what we wanted, but do have…

Something a Little Less Scary

Something a Little Less Scary

I know for all of you out there with younger children, enjoying the baby stage where they stay in one place and coo and smile at you, or the toddler stage where they are turning into little people, or the school days where it is all an adventure.  You read my posts and are filled with dread at the upcoming pre-teen years, when your little angel turns into a tween. I promise it is not all bad, in fact a lot of the time it is great. I posted yesterday…

Happy Friday

Happy Friday

Well you would think so, being the end of the week and no alarms or getting up early for 2 days. Oh no Little Miss Stroppy is in town again this morning.  I am not a morning person, I am the first one to admit that, but I am civil and I do answer if people talk to me. This morning, Little Miss Stroppy aka my Daughter, was in a right mood, no idea why, she has lessons she likes today, it is Friday and tomorrow she has her friends…

My Week 8/11/15

My Week 8/11/15

This week we have had no dramas, no stress just for once a normal week, which is so refreshing. I have had a very happy Daughter as she was counting down to her birthday which was yesterday. How my Daughter has just turned 12 is beyond me, the years have gone far too quickly. She had a great day, starting with texting and messaging me to see if she could get up, usually we don’t see her until much later in the morning.  She loved all her presents was a…

Goodbye October – Hello November

Goodbye October – Hello November

Can not believe it is November already, this year has flown by. We had a better October than we did November, no nasty surprises thankfully I think we had a fair share already.  My husband who suffered an accident at work in May last year finally, after numerous hospital visits etc, has a date for an operation this month, so that was some good news we have waited a very long time for. We have just finished half term, which started off really well as we had a parents/teacher/student meeting…

When technology isn’t so good

When technology isn’t so good

I posted the other day about how technology can be a good thing and how it alerted me that my daughter was not where she was meant to be, and was in fact half way home walking.  I had honestly never panicked so much in my life. Today, I checked where she was after school and she was at the bus stop, thought ok no problem, so checked the bus and it was tracking the one after, checked our stop where she gets off and says not one for over half…

The Nearly 12 year old

The Nearly 12 year old

I am honestly dreading the teenage years, if the pre-teen years are anything to go by. She left Primary school in July, yes they had all outgrown primary school, but they were still little.  She started secondary school in September, and suddenly looked so grown up.  A few weeks down the line and she has changed and grown up so much. And the attitude and her confidence has changed so much as well. A little insight into my week so far, and yes I know it is only Wednesday. Monday,…

Lost -Social Life

Lost -Social Life

Lost – Social Life if found please return. Do you remember those days before you had your children? When the weekends meant nice long lie ins, then out shopping on a Saturday aternoon browsing the shops for that latest dress or pair of shoes you just had to have for that night, having lunch with the girls, maybe a glass of wine or two.  Then getting ready for an evening out, whether it be to a party, dinner, drinks with friends, clubbing. Staggering home early hours of Sunday morning,…

Trends

Trends

It seeems to to be the current trend for girls this year is dip dying their hair. My daughter, like many others is desperate for this in her hair as well, but I just can not do it, it is not that I am one of those mums who refuses as I do like it, and the colours are great. Let me explain my reasons. A couple of years ago, we went along with another friend to the hairdressers, us mums had our hair done and we got talked into…
