A Mothers Pain

A Mothers Pain

As a parent all you want for your child is to be happy and healthy and enjoy their life, from that moment they are placed in your arms you have dreams for them, you want to protect them and take away any pain they feel. But what happens when you can’t take that pain away, when you have to sit and just watch your child suffer and know that you can not do anything. I have learnt a lot this year, as regular readers will know C who has just…

Blogtober Day 30 – A Letter To Someone

Blogtober Day 30 – A Letter To Someone

It is Day 30 of Blogtober and todays topic is a letter to someone.  I have sat here and started writing many letters and stopped, and rewritten.  I just can not find the right words or the right topic. I am going through a very emotional time at the moment and struggling with a lot of things. My daughter turns 13 next week, and a letter will be written then, but right now I am very angry and very bitter and not able to write to anyone. Here is a…

1st Blog Anniversary

1st Blog Anniversary

Today is my 1st Blog Anniversary, and what a year it has been 🙂 I started my blog last year, because I enjoyed reading blogs and was at a stage in my life where I thought this was something I would like to do.  I had no idea about blogging really, and reading blogs from your favourite and new bloggers, is totally different to when you actually start blogging. So, a year ago today, after telling my husband I wanted to start writing a blog, he set me up and…

A Letter to my beautiful Daughter

A Letter to my beautiful Daughter

Dear Daughter Today is ME Awareness Day and I am writing this letter to you, to let you know how amazing both Dad and I think you are. You have had a very rough year with being ill, you have had days and weeks, of not being able to get up out of bed, you have had times you have been so shattered you have not wanted to move, days where you could not walk (or your bambi days as well call them). You have missed a lot of school…

Feeling Down

Feeling Down

Today like every day lately, I woke up feeling down, I have been like this for a while now. I should be happy, I have a roof over my head, I have food in the cupboards, I have an amazing Husband and beautiful children, and a mad dog that can always put a smile on your face.  We have our own business which my Husband has worked hard at with me helping, and I have my blog which I love. My little family are my world and I am so…

A letter from the heart

A letter from the heart

Dear Daughter You have been ill since New Years Eve, you have been in pain, and unwell for all this time. I know I tell you, but thought I would write a letter from the heart so you know you are not alone. I have taken you to numerous Dr appointments, various hospital appointments, held your hand when having your many blood tests. Cuddled you, chatted with you when you have been able too. Gone out shopping to get you something you fancy to eat. I have chased results, rushed…

My Baby Diary part 1

My Baby Diary part 1

During Babyloss Awareness Week I wrote about my struggle to become a Mum, the heartache I felt and the struggle I had. I recently had an email regarding my diaries that I wrote whilst I was pregnant with my Daughter.  They were going to be gone soon, so I have saved them and thought I would share on here in a few posts month by month how I felt during my pregnancy. This is more for my memories, but I hope you enjoy them 28th March 2003 Hello My name…

My Week – 19/09/15

My Week – 19/09/15

After all the stress of last week, we were hoping on a much easier week this week.  My Dad is getting stronger by the day which is great, he does just need to realise he can’t do everything he wants to at the minute. My daughter has really shown how much she is growing up and changed, since starting secondary school, as you would have seen from my previous post. This week has been very upsetting and also very excited, a lot of mixed emotions going on. Last Saturday, my…

My Week

My Week

It has been a very busy and emotional week for us here. Last Saturday, my daughter came back home after her amazing holiday away with my parents on a Disney Cruise, I know how lucky was she. Unfortunately, she came home with a raging temperature, sore throat, bad ear and cough. She literally walked in the door and went straight to bed, where she stayed until Monday. On Monday, we had one of the boys and his girlfriend over for the day, was lovely spending some time together and meeting…

My Week

My Week

I have had a very different and busy week this week, as I said last week I was up at the crack of dawn taking my daughter and my parents to the airport for their holiday. The plan was while she was away, to decorate her room fully and have it all back in place for when she comes home.  Not quite gone to plan, the room is decorated but the carpet has not arrived, and where she wanted her bed to go, would not fit, so myself and my…
