Bacofoil Giveaway

While the kids have celebrated the start of the summer holidays, and us parents have looked forward to the stressfree mornings of the school runs and looking forward to our lazy carefree morning routines.  I have been working with companies to make the transition back to school easier for all of us, and I have a lovely new giveaway with Bacofoil.

We all know the traumas of packed lunches, things spill or leak or they do not eat everything and just chuck it back in their bags or lunch boxes.

Bacofoil Zipper Bags are great for any storage needs they have a zipper seal to lock in freshness and stop leaks.  Great for food storage or freezing.

They come in two size

  • Small – 15 bags which hold 1L
  • Medium – 12 bags which hold 3L

Non Stick Kitchen Foil we all use kitchen foil whether we use it for keeping food fresh or for when we are cooking.  I have lost count of the times I have used foil, especially for quickness and ease of cleaning my trays, and the food has stuck and you spend ages trying to gently remove the food without bring the foil with you, and then the trays get filthy due to the holes.  Or we grease the foil to stop this happening.

Bacofoil Non Stick Foil is great for any busy home, as you do not have to pre-grease, food does not stick which means less cleaning a definite win-win for any busy parent.

Bacofoil are making back to school a little easier for 5 of my readers by giving 5 of you the chance to win a pack of the zipper bags and kitchen foil.  To enter see below

When trying to save money I stupidly bought some cheap freezer bags. My husband likes making Stilton and broccoli soup and made a big batch one time. He carefully waited until it had cooled and put it in the freezer. Hours later I opened the freezer to find several of the bags had split and their contents covered the other frozen food in the drawer. We always buy good quality bags now!

I have tried to economise and use cheaper freezer bags, but end up using two as always worried they will split, which defeats the point of buying cheaper x

I sent my daughter to school once with frozen fruit in a bag that would be defrosted by lunchtime, except there was a hole in the bag and it leaked everywhere in her school bag! Bad Mum! lol

The only thing that’s happened is I’ve covered a casserole in foil, taken it to work, and it’s leaked…

Bacon foil products are the best with very little mess

    06/08/2018 / 7:50 am

No messy disasters that I recall. Although with the cheap bags you have to be careful tearing them off the roll or they just rip a hole in the bottom of the bag!

    Too hot sauce into bag

  20. 06/08/2018 / 10:41 am

I have a bad habit of forgetting which way the foil goes onto the tray and end up putting it on wrong meaning all my food then sticks to it – oops x

      06/08/2018 / 5:11 pm

The problem I have with this is, if I think about it I always put it the wrong way, if I don’t think about it I just do it the right way automatically x

I ran out of nappy bags so had to use a supermarket own brand Ziplock bag to keep hold of the nappy until I could bin it, it was poor quality and the said nappy ‘liquids’ leaked out 😫😂

I’ve fallen down the stairs and landed feet first in the cats litter tray before now, I’ve also spilt the bin bag all over the kitchen floor, not sure either was amusing to me, but watching me hop up the stairs to wadh my foot in the bath may have been amusing to watch!

i made a whole roast dinner once, put foil at the bottom of the tray, and the foil was stuck to the joint of gammon, had to take the bits of foil off bit by bit, it was all in tiny little pieces once i ripped it off!

    13/08/2018 / 7:54 am

Not a cooking disaster, but……I was told if I wrapped things in foil, the X-ray machine at the airport would see beyond the bacofoil. It’s true…possibly……but I then mounded the foil around my ‘contraband’ so it still looked the same shape! Yes I was younger then, but I was also an idiot! My contraband was a sounvenir Buddha from Thailand.

The only problem I can remember is i run out of zipper type bags & i hadnt got much room in the frezzer so a bag of fish fingers i transferred to a smaller bag ,But the bag spilt & everything i took out that drawer had breadcrumbs on them including the ice cubes

I used some cheap freezer bags to freeze up a load of tomato sauce that I use for pasta – they were useless and a couple broke and I had to clean up the sauce from all over the floor before I even got them to the freezer – such a waste!

I’ve used cheap tinfoil to wrap my sarnies in and it always tore.

  46. Judith Allen
    17/08/2018 / 6:12 pm

No disasters to share, but tinfoil is really useful for cheap fancy dress. Remember when when the film Signs came out? We went to a friend’s Halloween party wearing tinfoil hats, and my daughter went to the door first and asked for a drink of water. Was funny when my partner went to the shop, still in tinfoil hat, and they hadn’t seen the film. They thought she was bonkers.
