Blogtober 2017 – Day 4 – Date

The theme for day 4 of Blogtober 2017 is date.  Now I have thought long and hard about this wondering whether to talk about a date with my husband or an important date, and decided to combine the two.

A special date for us is 27th September, as this is the date we got married.

We had such a lovely day celebrating with family and friends, it was a small celebration of those closest to us, and then the following day we had a huge party with all our family and friends.  So the celebrations carried on over a couple of days.

This year we celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary, by going on a little trip where we sailed from Newcastle to Amsterdam, and spent the day of our anniversary in Amsterdam.  Just the two of us eating chips and pancakes and stopping for a coffee or in a bar for a drink.  The weather could not have been nicer. You can read about our trip and celebrations here.

We also try to have a date night regularly, which is when we turn off our ringers on our phones and just spend time with the two of us.  We either go out for a meal or a couple of drinks, or snuggle up and watch a film.

What is your special date?
